Discover this handy feature in "open in" - seems I wasn't the last.
I just discovered that you can rearrange the order of the apps in "open in" by long pressing them and dragging them to where you want them.
Dragging Audioshare to position 1 will save me aaaaages
Anyway just thought I would share in case anyone else didn't know.

I did not know that, and how many years has AB been out? Crazy, I suppose I should learn all the things these apps can do!
Happy Easter Egg!
What do you call the person after the last person? Bah, so obvious!
Never knew! Arrrrrrgh!
I feel better now
I'm also late to the party!
Audioshare - Samplr - Hokusai - iDensity - Pinnacle Pro - Stickmotion - Soundscaper - etc., etc.
Wow, one of those things. I've learned to long press on everything now just to see what happens.
Great tip!!! Thanks!
many thanks,great tip!
Wow, hugely helpful. Thx.
Am ashamed I discovered this just a few months ago (by clumsy accident) and meant to share it here, but never did. Also makes one wonder what else...?
You win my "OMG! That is so freakin' awesome" prize for the week.
Thanks you! Audioshare always shows up 2nd last for me - now it will forever live in slot one! Yay
My first thought too
Awesome find, awesome share! Thank you, @BiancaNeve.
@JohnnyGoodyear - As soon as I download AUM and regain the moral high ground, I'll be making a note in your file
Mark me as another in the "I never knew that!" column. Thanks for sharing!
Yes thanx for that....is there a way to take some apps out and replace by other?
There are some apps that shouldn't be there, no sample import, like Stria
The days are long
but the years are short
my file's enormous
still I welcome your thought...
Could someone please help a dense person what you all are referring to?
Trying this in all different things. Nothing
Thanks
@yoyo
Say you had a track or a song in GarageBand and wanted to copy it, after you've got it onto the clipboard you are often presented with a little pop-up populated by all the apps you can paste the file into. If you have lots of apps the app you want to use (AudioShare in this common case) might require a lot of sideways scrolling to find. This trick allows you to scroll to that app, hold down on it and then drag said app icon to the front of the queue (or wherever you so choose) and thereafter forestall all the fiddling about
Finally! Wow we are all crazy! I swear I tried the long press! Thanks @BiancaNeve !
For sure! Yay!
Thanks OP and Goodyear, I was foolishy holding down icons in audiobus trying to rearrange the alphabetical order of my synths.
Note to self, drink more coffee and "Select input" in audiobus does not equal "open in ".
I've known this for years.
Strategy: I always move apps into the "first" position on the left when ever I open them. Keep doing that, and eventually you will identify the natural cluster of apps that you regularly "Open in"
Thanks, I didn't get what you meant before the screen shot...And didn't know it was possible, so double thanks
The screenshot was the key for me as well, thanks again.
I'm switching from goodrich to goodyear because of this post.
The Goodyear "Johnny's" smell like unicorn farts when burning rubber.
I love long been banished from The Family....
Say what? That's stupid handy.
Easter eggxactly!
