@skiphunt A really good buy. Truth is I find Borderlands uniquely intimidating. Not stumped by the using of it at all (my more typical problem), but the possibilities of it. It's like a serious iOS bluff caller. "Yeah? You like to talk about how you could make something unique and beautiful that takes your scoured soul and redeems what's left? Sure, go ahead."

I've only been playing with it for a couple hours now and haven't quite produced anything I'm proud of... but I'm intensely bewitched by this strange app. I'm beginning to get the hang of it and import my own source clips. The recorded motion is spectacular.
Don't delete those unused files, send them to Borderlands Granular!
Bought it!
My name is Jeff, and I have a problem...
Nah. Borderlands get a Special Exemption Ticket.
Cool. That's all I need to hear.
I don't think I'd support a developer who shows so little respect for his users that he can't be bothered to fix known issues in a timely manner. As of today it has been one year since this app saw any update.
Woof, harsh. What are the issues?
I'm just floored at the genius of this app. And, in particular, the level of intuitive design. I had most of the app figured out inside half an hour. Didn't even need to go to the manual or any demos... but I did anyway because I figured out a few extra things I didn't understand.

My main issue is the internet error message that comes up every time you open the app without internet. Some people don't care about it, but it was acknowledge as an issue, yet hasn't been fixed in all these months. How tough is it to fix and submit an update?
Hmmm, I don't get that error.
I don't get that error message either. Have you tried a delete & reinstall?
With regards to "how tough is it to fix and submit an update", the developer has a full time job, a family with a young child, and has recently relocated across the country. I get that everyone wants all of their apps to be perfect, but it seems there needs to be some room for letting a person have a life as well.
I sti get that error too . I'm not sure if I have the latest version , but I'm not seeing an update available in my list
Wierd; I get it every time with the latest version
Something strange going on on my ipad - i bought this app when it came out , and even downloaded it again onto my air 2 when i bought that 6 months ago , but its not showing in my list of purchased apps and not sure i have the latest version . very odd , i havent refunded the purchase but looks like its been removed from my account
Add in full time college and a second child and I might understand. It's not like I'm asking for new functionality, I just want him to fix small yet annoying issue. Is that really too much to ask? As much talent as he appears to have It would probably take him an hour.
Bought it, like it, very original approach to using the touch screen.
Man, i missed these spot on comments. I had to step away from using it, because I was becoming addicted to it. It's soooo good.
Okay, so this App is the answer to the question "What can you do for 5 straight hours before noticing you've used up the entire evening". Damn. I recorded every app & every thing I could think to wave in front of the microphone.
If I could complain, the only one would be that I can't install it on my iPhone so I can take it with me everywhere.
Best $5 I've spent in awhile
Told ya;)
Also do not that bug on latest version bit harsh to expect a single indie developer of a $5/10 app to navigate maze to maintain backward compatibility forever. I would try delete and reinstall. Quite few times that has cleared wierd little issues in apps that previously had no issues
Oh and if anyone does not have this yet, Yes you do need it
This is mostly used for abstract and/or ambient type sounds, yes? Any examples outside of these areas?
You did! I've had it on my wish list since then. Thx
Removing available time from your life in surprising quantities if one doesn't pay attention (as it were, because one doesn't).
Actually, and more to your point, I think it would be an interesting task to create something structured/tight with this app. I think for most of us that would likely be achieved in a similar way (say) to Egoist -and others- where one makes a remarkable small piece(s) and then takes it off elsewhere.
You can do drums, b-lines, melodies. You can do almost anything into BLG with some patience, math and performing skill.
Setting grain clouds to monophonic and long decay and no jittering for drums. For melodies get different clouds with different pitches.
Much of the outcome will depend on your automation recording skills
I always heard good things about the app but never got it, mainly because like Jeff I've bought a crapload of albeit great apps, but great apps I don't get to play with very often.
$5 though is a steal so I got it. After an hour & half with it, it sort of reminded me of Samplr, although not in sound or operation necessarily. It is like Samplr in that there is a learning curve involved and you have to go through lots of trial and errror to get to a place where it can be used at will as a tool in the studio.
I dig it enough to keep using it and just the fact that it is so unique makes me curious to what sounds it can be made to generate. It isn't as intimidating as maybe iVCS3 was to me but it is going to take a bit to get really comfortable with it. Great deal though...
