Anyone else sees Protein DK potential?

I contacted the dev to share him my appreciation for his work, asking also if he was planning to pursue the dev on what I think is a jewel. He kindly answered that more time and return on investment would be more than welcome...
This tread might make a difference...?

  • A link would definitely help.

  • Link indeed, more effects, multiple effects at a time, automations on effects, slicing, scratching, everything, audio bus remote to record from other audio apps which is already possible but without the more than usefull remote, audioshare, midi learn. Just to start :)

  • I think a link to the page was meant. I had this- it was another one of those mystery apps with hardly any instructions. It also looked cheap. I could't get any sense out of it- I think this is why it probably went nowhere despite having a few fans.
I think the reply you got was him telling you that he does not see any value in further investment given it's poor return.

I rather hope this could be a warning to other developers..... if you want to give your app a chance...... tell us how to work the thing....... clearly please.......... if it's not to much trouble.

  • Some really interesting ideas in that one...

I agree. Sometimes it seems the dev gets a little too clever with the UI and it's difficult for the user to figure out what is going on.

For instance, the recent update to shape synth was like turning the lights on for me. Suddenly it all makes sense and I can actually be productive with it rather than trying to figure out what things are and what they do.

^^^^^This again......alas, whilst it sounded quite decent & is relatively aesthetically pleasing, I remember this one falling into the 'somewhat impenetrable' camp, especially when combined with a 21st century attention span & a plethora of more accessible apps vying for attention.
