Is anyone going to buy the iPhone SE?
I'm considering it because it would fit on my guitars and basses better and has faster processor and double the RAM compared to my iPhone 6. The one thing I would like, though, is more storage. Too bad 64 GB is the max. If they offered 128 or even 256 GB that would be great. I do like the 4.7" screen on my 6 but I might just go back to 4". Everything else seems to be the same as 6s. No 3D Touch but I don't care about that really. It still does have a headphone jack. And it's much cheaper than the 6s if I extend my current contract.

"Is anyone going to buy the iPhone SE?" - I can confidently say, Yes, someone will!
want a "little" one yes & if it had 3dtouch, yes....but, think will wait with my 5s which is fine for ALL until the 7, and will see then again...
More job for devs without earn more money.
Best value iPhone now as far as I'm concerned. The 3D touch is missing but that is really just a gimmick at this point. "Peek and pop" your email? Stupid. (My own personal opinion as a 6s owner. I rarely use the 3d touch features). The only reason I'm not selling it and getting a 5se is that my 6s will probably hold its resale value better.
How so ? Anything that already works on iPhone 5s will presumably just continue to work fine.
Will buy. Upgrade from 4S. Don't need those big ones. Need one for the pocket. Depends all on your needs. I hate phoning and don´t use it for music, games or whatever.
Yes, "presumably" is the key word. I hope you're right.
Only If there's a Guarantee that Nanostudio 2 will work on it once it comes out.
I plan to replace my ailing 5C with an SE hopefully, yes. The reason is I need a new phone. I love my 4S for size, and while I appreciate the slightly larger size of the 5C I also have on another line, since I do my iOS music production mainly on iPads and mainly use my iPhones as phones, it makes a great deal of sense to me. Not at all interested in large phone sizes. More interested in easy handling and being able to fit it in a pocket
Even then, I'm still not really sold on the shape of iPhones as phones. I preferred flipphones - made much more sense to me as phones, the ones you could comfortably fit in in the palm of your hand. I do like the iPhone as an e-reader however - reminds me of my PalmOS days
I've been looking at a Sony z3 compact for the size (I have a 4s). This iPhone is pretty much exactly what I was looking for
I still prefer the feel of the iPhone 3GS no sharp edges it just fits nicely in my hand.
hääää? for what did you buy it then?
paperweight? if yes we could make a change i found a really nice stone in my garden which fits all of your needs....
Why not? Has the right size and better specs. The 4S will be recycled like all stuff in the family ;-) Besides that, not all you buy is always what you need. Or do you really only buy what you need? And I did not say I don´t have to phone, I just don´t like it. So if you have some stones in the garden you can phone with, you should start to sell them.
I would like a 6s+ without the phone bits!
An updated iPod in other words but with the plus size screen.
I haven't seen anything about this, but it's basically a smaller 6s without 3D Touch? I may look at trading in my 6s then, I loved the size of my 4s and would still be using it if it wasn't dying. The 6s is too big and the one thing I do have that works great is my eyesight...
3D touch annoys the heck out of me by the way, I haven't found out useful at all, so I wouldn't miss that in the least.
That's why I won't upgrade. I own a 4s and it still works. I don't use it for music apps anymore since I bought an iPad 2 years ago.
I nearly bought one today ! Looked at one in an Apple store and really impressed with the speed and camera quality . Have held off upgrading my nearly 4 year old iphone 5 as it's still working ok and didnt fancy the 6 models , but this has definitely tempted me into upgrading . Will buy one in the next month or so )
Nah, as much as I dig iOS and iPads for music production I have never warmed to the iPhone. Plenty of family & friends have them in one generation or another, so I've seen and played around with them all. Closest to my preference in a smartphone was the 6Plus but I prefer the Android platform for its customization options and how it's a bit more open then iOS.
That's still a drag with the iPad, no real file management system available to the owner of the device. There are other roadblocks that just seem heavy-handed as well.
Android isn't perfect (the tablet end of the OS, by any manufacturer, are just large glorified smartphones- nowhere close to an iPad), but for the day to day cellphone stuff for me it's preferable.
I don't think so. My 5S is dying because the battery isn't lasting reliably as it should. I really would like an old slider keyboard style phone. My kids had them a number of years ago from LG and they were really bulletproof. I don't use my phone for much, really, other than calls and texting. I can get away from the handheld games and music production abilities that I never really use.
