Which MIDI ACCESSORY APP does this?
Apps such as ARGON or XK1 do not have MIDI channel selection features. So, they play no matter what channel you are on and using.
Which app would allow me to assign specific MIDI channel to these apps?
I have MIDI BUS, MIDI BRIDGE, and the other couple.
So, if you have an app that will do it, can you tell me how you do it with the app?
Thanks so much.
BTW: I just downloaded XK1 today for the FIRST time! WOW what a great little app. I wish RED DOG UPDATED Molten or came out with some new stuff. They always did such a nice job.

Midiflow will do this.
With the update or as is?
How?
How do you do it with MIDI FLOW?
Basically?
THANKS SO MUCH
THis is an issue for me.

AUM can do it: just load XK1's instrument port in AUM and use XK1's Inter-app audio MIDI destination in AUM, route whatever you like to it. Tap the hamburger icon next to the node, here you also select which channels it should receive on.
Is there anything that app can't do?
FUUUUUCCCKKKKK MEMMEMEMEMMEMEMEMEMMEMMEMM
Hamburger icon? No wonder I get hungry when I use AUM!
Short answer:
For each column you set up inside midiflow, you can specify input and destination, including input and output channels.
Input at he top
Filtering in the middle
Destination below
And no IAP's are needed for this.
Sry, I can't give you a more elaborate answer right now.
I will be back later if noone else are ahead of me.
But Xk1 is still listening on all channels to all midi sources.
@BiancaNeve I'm not a 100 % shure, but in my perception Midiflow restricts transmission to the selected destinations. Sry, but I can't try it out right now, and I might be wrong.

Thanks
Oh how I love AUM
Since AUM 1.1, that's not needed anymore. AUM now has channel selection for each IAA or AU node instrument.
@j_liljedahl Yes this is great. Thanks.
And I know that the thread is aimed at solving a (no longer exiating) issue inside AUM.
But there might be apps that doesn't fit into AUM - non IAA/AB/AU apps.
And there might also a few people, that unfortunately does not own AUM.
So the Midiflow solution is still interesting for some.
@j_liljedahl yeah, Aum Midi functions are formidable, and are covering all needs perfectly (:
@Rustik re: Argon synth, the midiflow channel selection preset would restrict f.e. Xynthesizer's output to channel 1-4 in Argon,
Or you could theoretically use chanel no. 5 for Argon if the first four channels are occupied with say Gadget, if you take the midiflow template and reverse engineer it, restricting a virtual port to ch.5, (although it's clear that Argon's midi is broken, because it's listening promiscuously and therefore can't be restricted).
Howsoever, this already is taken care for in Aum.
@RustiK Forget about Zed. It only loads as IAA generator ,not instrument plus it listens to all midi channels (always omni mode) and no virtual midi. Meaning:
There is no way to use Zed with other synths.
