No AB yet.
Nice and neat version of the AUXY / GADGET theme.
Comments
More Auxy than Gadget (although they borrowed the Gadget blue). Not bad. Bought the full shemozzle of sounds and have a partial regret at doing so as they're only OK, however it's got some nice tricks (the ability to link/unlink patterns, no, not that Link, which means you can make changes over here and they appear over there as well) and the midi export is easy...
The loop mode where you can play individual clips is nice too.
EASY
&
UNIVERSAL
All and all, win for us I say.
All I need to do is increase my Cloud memory and hours in the day.
It is.
There are a few niche items I like on this.
This has some cool sounds. I might by the whole she-bang. It's 4.99 now , supposed to end today though. AB would be great though.
Does the Band Pack get you everything, then?
I think it does, because under the 4.99 price, it says normally 17.and some change. So I was making an educated guess that it does. ??
MIDI out? Can't find it.
I will have to try it out at the gym and see if it does or not little later on.
Pretty cool stupid little app.
Thank you, sir (doffs cap)
Under-used word and under-read woman perhaps...
Well-played, sir. BTW, finally broke down and purchased AUM - we'll have to compare notes sometime ...
I was taken with the archly-English entry, especially the opening which also reminded me of the stories my grandmother would tell in explanation of her own rather murky young past...
...Determined to fight her way from underneath the rag and tether class she started modeling for a large number of renowned Belgian painters....
As for AUM, I like it. It keeps making me think: But I can do all this and more in Auria, and that's largely true, and it's made me focus more on Auria, BUT I keep going back to Aum, because it feels more (in some weird iOS world) like a jam....
Looks interesting...what makes it different from Auxy?
Well I caved and bought the band pack. The clean interface looks so good I could see myself spending some time with this. That stuff makes a difference when you're on iPhone.
You can arrange patterns and play back in song mode. That was the one thing that made me give up on Auxy. You can export audio or MIDI. I will be spending some time with this one this weekend. Maybe it will have direct MIDI out in the future. That would be nice. Still waiting for that ModStep update though...
Does anyone know how to access the tutorial if you didn't do it when first opening the app?
Couple different ways. When You open app, you can click on the icon in the upper left of the screen that looks like, I don't know? A sine wave? Then tap tips, library, Board, Notes and Advanced are at the bottom.
Or, When in a song, you can press the equalizer button thingy in the top right of the screen, then the ? at the bottom of the pop up window.
I couldn't figure out how to change instruments. Turns out all I needed to do was tap on the little symbol/icon at the front of each track/song.
I did as well. Lots of cool sounds for 5 bucks.
This the same as Export midi? Showing my true midiot potential here.
Export midi is under the arrow icon with a [ symbol under the arrow. Also exports audio this way too. I exported a quick song to Multitrack Daw this way, worked well.
I meant can it be used to to drive other synths in real time rather than use the built in or purchased sounds.
MIDI export only I believe
Yup. So far.
Downloaded and gave this a good play yesterday before the "all-in" upgrade discount expired! Not having any desktop DAWs, it finally hit me - this is what that whole "clip launcher" hullabaloo is all about, aren't it?
The separate pitch, mod, reverb and volume automation is very cool.
Fun. And you CAN export wavs into Audioshare, which is nice. And I think you can solo instruments, so in theory, one could move a jam session into a DAW for "further development."
Hmmm.
While it is pretty good all around, there is one little thing that sucks I feel should be mentioned: you cannot restrict the piano roll to a specific scale
You can, but only pentatonic ones. (And just major if I recall rightly )
What where? To me it just looks like you set a root note for a chromatic scale.
Ok I was reading it wrong. never mind.
4/4 only but otherwise a very cool little sketch pad. Onion skin view is pretty unique. Nice automation options.
