Gadget - Track Level Fader Control via External MIDI?

I would like to use multiple Gadget synths live via my external midi controller, and control their levels via the controller. Is there a way to control the synth (track) level faders in Gadget via external midi?

If there is, I can't find it. It seems it must be possible from the NanoKONTROL Studio. If so, is that using some proprietary protocol, or I'm I missing something?

  • I don't actually know the answer to your question, but a work around is assigning a controller to each Gadgets 'output' parameter.

It's different to the mix faders (it's a knob inside the gadget UI itself) but should have basically the same effect.

Almost the same: since Korg has implemented insert FX if you lower the output volume it will affect the eq if it has some saturation/clipping stage but the biggest issue will be with the compressor messing the input/threshold ratio

  • Thanks Matt, that'll work just fine. I looked for something like that before posting, but wasn't able to see it until someone else told me it was there. :)

Ah, yes. Didn't really think about. So the level faders are after the effects. The output before.
