Korg Gadget LE
Most of you know this, but recently Korg released a free limited edition of Gadget. It comes with three Gadgets --London, Dublin, and Marseille--and adds another two if you connect a Korg Controller. (I think they are Amsterdam and Brussels) I assume this means one of the new controllers.
Anyway, it's a way for people to find out if Gadget is for them without shelling out $40.

Nice move ,I tried it last week and saved me a lot of money. Waiting for Caustic update...
Edit : Gadget is great app. It's just the price holding me off. I always think other apps I could get for this price.
Has potential but think I'll wait for the next 50%or more price drop. Yes I know I' a cheap skate but I've got to be good at something!
But then you'll have them and over time they'll slink to the back of your pages, their icons rusting quietly, and you still won't have Gadget...
As excited as I was for gadget to come to iPhone, it really is better suited on a bigger screen.
Caustic update, is this still going to happen?
I think the current Caustic beta may be the last one before release. That being said, the current beta is completely usable except it's not running the latest AB SDK.
He's also been working on his mastering app which looks interesting but doesn't have an iOS beta yet.
That good to hear! :-)
I will download Gadget just in case though, see if it stirs up any tunes in the head!
There are some nice sounds in the LE gadgets!
Yes but what you miss is that once you invested in Gadget, then you don't need to invest in other music making apps (except a DAW like Cubasis or Auria if you want to add audio tracks such as additional vocals, synths or real instruments)... Since I own Gadget (~2 years), I realease 90% of my tracks directly from Gadget (no other apps involved) and you can hear the results here (I point you directly to my last track which demonstrates to all those haters how great samplers Abu Dhabi and Bilbao are) :
Frankly, I don't use Gadget for many things.
However, what I use it for it is invaluable.
I use it for the piano roll with Module and iM1 with Abu Dhabi and London. That's it.
That is still worth what I paid.
I would say that I see NO reason for IMS20 or POLY any more if I had Gadget first. I can essentially get all out of Gadget that I find in those apps. Almost can throw ielectribe in there as well to be honest.
That's just me.
I really only use gadget, samplr, thumbjam, and egoist. Sometimes impaktor and patterning. The rest of my apps are slowly being deleted from my iPads. And I have bought MANY apps, reformed appaholik here.
Waiting for that nanokeystudio and then I'll be very set for gear. Imagine one for each Ipad synced with link
Edit: oh and animoog, love that synth
I totally agree, and KORG did actually promise this was coming when they released Gadget 2 years ago :-(
Nice track.
Enjoyed this.
O
Nice one!
Thanks a lot mates ... ;-)
Yeah, awesome song @ElGregoLoco !
