Cubasis: How is it treating you these days?

I own and am aware of ALL other DAWS out there. Thanks anyway.

I am wondering if I am having some odd issues with Cubasis or is it I am pushing CPU to high?

I haven't increased really and these days I seem to have a bit of little pain in the ass stuff popping up.

Mainly with track alignments, their existence as all, or snafus when recording and changing the "live" status of a track. Recording brings some things like if you change something in 1 track, another track is effected somehow in a non related parameter, but, happens nonetheless.

The effects are also a little off lately?

Is it me or are these pesky little things present since around the last update?

Thanks

  • What have you set your buffer size to? There used to be all kinds of weird stuff happening if buffer was on anything but 256. Don't know if it's been fixed, but quick and easy to try.

    how d'ya mean ?

  • I would love to work in Cubasis but there's just too much weirdness for me. Nothing records in time. Say I have a synth loaded in AB feeding an audio track in Cubasis. Then I have a MIDI track routed back to the synth. Real-time playback is fine (ish). Soon as I record it to the audio track it's out of time. Tried different offset values and nothing works. All I wanna be able to do is sequence the MIDI, record it and arrange the WAVs but so far, no dice :( any ideas?
