Drum perfect pro tutorials and expansions
Been quite awhile since release, anyone heard if the new stuff is close or not?
Comments
This is my favorite drum app ay the moment closely followed by RDM and Patterning.
I wanna learn how to load up my midi files not as songs but as midi loops. Currently I've only figures out how to load 1 at a time.
I like some things about it but find it to be not very easy to get anything but stock patterns which are really good just hard to manipulate and I keep returning to Rock drum machine also. This is why I am inquiring further about the tutorials and iap's that so far have not materialized as promised.
I am unable to access my IAPs.
Is that just me, or something still not fixed?
Geez, this app could be best of all time if not for pesky issues
Would love it more if they implemented AB Remote. Please....I know you're listening.
You may find some answers on a DrumPerfect discussion I started here
https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/12533/drumperfect-pro-discussion-questions-tips-feature-requests#latest
This is also a good place to post questions for the developer. @gilbert - who worked on DPP with developer Marinus, responds often.
@rustik Go to the song page and load some songs. You should find some with your IAP patterns. You can also go on the pattern page and click load. You'll find your patterns in folders.
I have begun working on what I hope will someday be the first in a series of DrumPerfect videos. It's something I am very excited about doing because I love the program so much. I want to spread the word about one of the very best music apps available. Unfortunately I am very busy with work at the moment and I don't know when I'll be able to get back to them.
When I hit restore purchases (breakbeats) it goes to install and then gives error message.
So, it won't load them.
I bought them literally the first day it came out. I know there were issues, I hope I didn'tbuy it during a bad time?
Really look forward to seeing these...
I really need tutorials for this too
I can tell this app is special, I just am not special enough to truly make the most of it.
Accidentally I have done some thrilling pieces on this.
Trust me, I would rather be doing the tutorials than doing what I'm doing right now. I think there's a need for somebody like me who has screwed up with the program over and over to do them. They developer knows how to use the program--I'm coming from the perspective of a user who makes mistakes, can't find help in the manual, and has to use trial and error to figure out what I did wrong. So I want to share my mistakes and hopefully help you avoid them and move faster into the program.
Because it is awesome.
As said: Please do
How do I keep the tempo the same for all the patterns in song mode? I really do love this apps sound but it is maddening to get to grips with ! Started messing around with this again today and definitely understanding it more.
Tempos are saved in each pattern so go to the pattern page and make each pattern have the same bpm. I actually like that tempos are stored per pattern because this means you can change tempos in a song and there aren't that many iOS drum machines or DAWs that will let you do that.
This is my one big gripe about iOS music. Most music apps are skewed toward 4/4 and having the same tempo throughout the song.
@tritonman Make sure you don't bump the Tempo slider on the Song Page. Easy to do. It causes all the tempos on the page to speed up or slow down.
Another thing you can do to make all the tempos the same is load DPP in AUM and set the tempo you want there.
Awesome! Guys I propose we all move yo the other thread mentioned yo have the Dev follow up on our ideas and requests.
In Pattern view, if you press and hold the Tap button for several seconds, then let go, it'll ask you if you want to change all your patterns to the current tempo shown. You can reload a saved song to get original pattern tempos back.
No need for AUM ( if you happen to have it in your collection ....)
DPP can make all your patterns immediately play at the tempo of your choice.
How?
Input the correct tempo value for one of the patterns, then long press 3-4 s the Tap button on the right of the tempo box ( Pattern view ). A message will appear asking for confirmation. Yes! and that's it. All at the same tempo.
Simple.
A golden tip: just out of curiosity, try long press on any item ( button, box, etc... ) in view on the UI. Surprises await the adventurous user... Keep a little notebook at hand to take notes. Many features are not yet fully documented. They exist nonetheless...
Lovadamusic, I had not seen that you had already given the clue. Thanks!
@Gilbert - I'm not looking for an adventure, just a drum machine.
My above message got truncated. It included a smiley and a question about when/if the features will be documented soon.
Gilbert thanks for your great ideas and enthusiasm. This is the most amazing realistic sounding drum machine in IOS! I love it!
Question, are there any plans to add AudioBus remote pattern shortcuts? Meaning, ability to select various patterns with AB Remote. Currently Patterning has this ability and it truly is awesome for real time players and recording while playing other apps! Helps build a drum track so much faster too! Maybe in a future update?
Thanks.
