Blocs Wave Sampling Pocket Operator – haQ attaQ 136

In this tutorial I am sampling loops from Pocket Operator Robot (PO-28) and Pocket Operator Sub (PO-14) straight into Blocs Wave by Novation.

Since Blocs wave features a system when it comes to Root-key’s and BPM’s of loops. It’s important to properly edit the attributes of the audio you import. That way, your material will fit into the sound library system.

You said 'I know the key is D' - but the Pocket Operators do not play sharps or flats- so how can this be?

    Just C/G major? Really?

Edit: if there is a transpose you don't need flats and sharps. It will transpose the mode within its intervals anyway.

Yes really......a bit strange to be sure... but very true- so I think it's only in the key of C or A minor that you can have. I tend to stay away from transposing if I can- it usually always confuses me :/

  • On the sub one of the effects is to raise the step by a tone so you can add sharps at the expense of an effect.

  • @robosardine Since I never really know what key I'm in I might be wrong. I'm really bad with scales and chords. :(

All I can say is when putting in notes I've used "d" a lot.
