Ok.....got my monitors, my ipad dock, got all my guitar.bass apps, got auria and couple needed plugins and launchapad which will be my midi controller for playing, so now my good people I need a list of must have synth apps and effect apps to work along side audiobus and for mixing. Here is what I have so far. Bias amp, biasfx, jamup pro, drums xd, rock drum machine 3,beat hawk, thumb jam. I'm just trying to get everything i need so i can just make music. This transition from windows to apple has been a bit of a slow process kinda not knowing what im doing re-learning things all over again, so if you guys can give me a list of app wise what ele i need to complete my setup, i will be good to go, Also just so you know Ialso have aschecter guitar and a fender bass and a MXL 990 mic(also going to get voice rackfx, for my vocals) so yea im going to be doing sampkling and vocals too. I also have samplr, although not sure if i will even use it.

I think you should check out iRoadie for helping to carry all that heavy gear around
Seriously- I would check out Novation Blocs Wave- without a doubt- also I'm thinking you may like ivoxel- a flexible vocoder. You will also very probably need Audioshare .
Congrats! You've now reached the fun part where the gnashing of teeth, pulling out of hair, and heavy drug use begins. Hehe... just kidding... kinda.
Patience is a good quality to have. I'm still trying to get everything together, but it's still fun. It hasn't all worked as planned. You have to mess around to find what works within your particular setup, the music you make, and how you like to work. Then the next iOS update comes out, and if you make the move, figure some things won't work like they did before. There are a zillion apps out there to do many things, and the standards are not strong enough to ensure they all work reliably or seamlessly together. But there's already a ton of information on this forum. Check it out and begin the process.
Tell us what kind of music you want to make. That should make the recommendations more custom.
I have played guitar and bass for a while. I come from a heavy metal background, and i still play i dig that genre but also dig trance/techno. I have released 3 albums all that production was done on windows. So i do both stuff. Sometimes I will grab my guitar and other time i wanna make a beat and a killer bassline.Right now i'm in my producing EDM mode. I do not make a ton of money so when i got my ipad i have to get stuck with the 16gig version so now i'm also trying to figure out out how i'm going to get access to all my beats and samples. I have drop box and icloud but all my samples wont fit on my ipad, I have also tried with a camera kit hooking up my ext hard drive, but i got the error that it was incompatible, then i tried 2 other flash drives and it didnt work, any suggestions with it? I was considering getting nave, and some arturia stuff. I already picked up sampletank ,but it sucked, i got audiobus and patterning. I watched a demo on audioshare but i'm just not seeing the big deal with it. so you can record with it and transfer your samples from app to app but i dont think i would do that, unless im missing something with it.... thinking i will grab animoog, sunrizer, imini, wow filterbox, lemur, artic pro. That should get me going, now if i can only figure 0ut how to use all my samples on this 16gig ipad...wahacha think?
What does it means all your samples? If I had to load all my samples on to iDevices I would need at least a couple of the largest ones and keep buying em since I could add 4-5 Gb worth of samples each month. And since iOS hasn't a common root folder it would duplicate a file into desired app sample folder for each app using that sample. In other words: you won't load your samples to an iPad but actually load your samples to a specified app on your pad. That's why AudioShare can do wonders making import/export pretty easy.
Getting back to your rig:
are you planning to play live or do recording sessions?
my drum loop, one shots snares, kicks, hats, synths, bass. no live stuff only will be doing recording. Sadly enough all i have is a 16g ipad and wont be upgrading anytime soon. So does audioshare give space for all your samples? kind dont understand the audioshare thing
I can’t say how everyone does it, but I use DropBox for my sample library. I have a 128G iPad and wouldn’t try to keep too many personal samples on it. AudioShare is a good hub for downloading samples from DB and then “Open In” the apps I’m using at the moment. I don’t think you can get around constantly having to back up your projects elsewhere, and cleaning up (deleting) what’s on the iPad by plugging into your computer to use iTunes or iFunbox.
BTW, with AudioShare you have a central place for the samples you do want to keep on your device, and it gives you some basic functionality if you need to trim, normalize, etc... a sample before opening it in an app. It's the file system most people want with an OS that otherwise offers nothing in that regard.
A cloud based solution or some of the hardware based solutions will give you access to your samples. I have one of these...

But there are other options available as well. I like the one I have, and like most of the other options, you don't need Internet access. They can set up an ad hoc network to allow you to access them and I've been able to access files from thumb drives and external drives with it.
