Key sync?

Now that we have Link to sync tempo across apps, I have to wonder if it could be possible to sync the key across apps.

    you can theoretically do this by having thumbjam input transposed midi + white keys only + midi thru into modstep(Or any other IAA host) and then "arming" whatever track you're using. its how i do it anyways. thumbjam is like the swiss army knife that keeps on giving. if i want in key appregiations i basically do midi keyboard->thumbjam(set scale and key)->step poly arp->modstep->Arm.

    I just saw tweet rumors of an arp as well soon to be set before us, so, yeah, keeps on giving indeed...

    Lol. was still editing my post when you responded. currently i feed thumbjam into step poly arp since its link enabled. works fantastically and rock solid in terms of tempo.

    Yes, Arp in TJ is being tested by some folks now.

    But regarding the OP's topic, TJ also supports a secret midi NRPN that I made up to receive scale info from another app. There is only one that does (KeyIn) but I should revive the concept and promote it. I'll do that here soon...
