iPhone producers
I have the feeling i'm nearly alone as an iPhone(5) only producer who think an ipad is not mobile enough However i would like to see more "pro" apps like Nave, Auria ...etc. also on an iPhone. I know to fit the UI is a hard part but i used an ipad(2) for a while and i still prefered the iPhone after some days. Sadly the ipad versions gets more updates and features (like Sunrizer, Animoog, WaveMapper vs. Minimapper f.e.). So dear developers outside give us the full versions for the real hardcore mobiles (like me;). But if i'm really the only one...forget this post.
Special thank's here from me to the developers of Audiobus, AlchemyMobile, Magellan, BeatMaker2, NanoStudio, GlitchBreaks, MultiTrackDAW, ThumbJam, DrumJam, SoundPrism, Figure, iKaossilator, GrainScience which are my most used apps for producing and gets the same (or nearly) features like their big brothers.
All the best,

I'm not a power user like galaxyexorer but I also would love to see more support for iPhone users.
I agree the iPhone is a lot less fatiguing whilst holding and using it and is comfortable to use pretty much anywhere (on the sunlounger/bus etc) for longer periods.
I also take it everywhere with me.
The only thing I don't get is that iPhone doesn't use the CCK for some odd reason for midi nor audio out which is very disappointing.
Animoog and others without the screen for iPhone 5 update and lack other heavyweight apps is also disappointing.
Maybe ipad mini 2 is the way to go ?
Ipad mini is still to big for me. Also underpowered for my Audiobus Sessions. My perfect phone would be the HTC one running ios (or android with the same audio features...that will never happen eh'). So i really thought about saving money for an ipad 5 (or an powerful ipad mini 2 with retina display). But at least i think you could get the same out of an iPhone...you just need more steps I also like to record nature sounds and use it straight in an app f.e. Shaking the phone over 10 minutes. (I just say ThumbJam is more easy. I also have to choose just one device because i'm not rich....means i have to go with an iPhone 5S(or 6?) in the future.
But if i'm one of the few iPhone only poweruser producers in the future...why not .
So apple please make an 5" smartphone and i'm happy. (But a full featured Nave for iPhone would be nice!!)
@DaveMagoo: I saw for a while that the CCK works with a jailbroken phone (can not find the link again sorry). Think it has just to do with the limited iPhone battery (so just one of apples strange restrictions).
Your right about the iphones capability as iphone 5 is more powerful than ipad 3 which seems crazy !
Are all you posts here made with iPhone 5 ?
I have been really productive on iPhone and have gravitated towards Nanostudio as it has a great synth, a sampler which I can sample into it from Alchemy etc via the Bus with a keyboard that has scaling options and it has a great drum machine also with great effects.
That said I am still torn between Nanostudio and Beatmaker 2.
Here is a great example of what people are doing on iPhone....
That's great...i had the chance for a while to get some tracks signed but it was for compilations and they needed a 24bit wav for pro mastering. Another thing i would love on iPhone...render to 24bit wavs. For me 16bit is fine but i'm no pro and 2 years ago i started first time in my life to produce music. So i have still much to learn. And yes, all tracks i made are straight from my iPhone 5 (iPhone 4 was my first smartphone where i started with ThumbJam and NanoStudio I also released a whole album on bandcamp last year but after a lifetime crisis i deleted my whole projects (about 80 tracks) my pro account on soundcloud etc. So i started new in 2013 and i decided to give all tracks for free downloads for some reasons.
But for sure in 1-2 years no one will laugh about ios music. There are some great artists outside there (also to found on i-tunes
I too wish more developers would keep the iPhone and iPod touch in mind. I primarily use my iPad to work on songs, but I have a 5th gen iPod touch that gets used often as well, especially when I'm out of the house and have a moment to work on a track or synth patch.
It's for this reason that I only use universal apps, with the exception of Addictive Synth. I'm waiting for the iPhone version to get updated with the features the iPad version has been given in the passed year and a half.
Agreed. I would especially love it if korg released their iElectribe and iMS20 for iPhone. I'd gladly pay for them again if they were slightly cheaper, especially if my iPhone 5 is more powerful than my iPad 3, which I think I just read in this thread. But mostly iElectribe, I would love to have a digital-analog sequence based drum machine-esque type app accessible everywhere without having to bust out the iPad. It just creates an extra step having to add send stuff to the iPad to get the electribe or ms20 in.
