aria
I used to use Abletion before I moved to the ipad and they had options like snap to grid and also they had an option to add more markers to the grid, does Aria have anything like this? It sure would be easier and less time consuming for getting files in time.
Also I was curious...I know lot of you guys are into EDM Am I the only rock/metal guy???.....one more question. All other forums have an option to get an email when there is a new post to a thread you are subscribed from, but i don't see one here, so im constantly checking. I find I spend more time here than any other websites around. I do also do EDM, my last 2 albums are on itunes, amazon and various other online stores under the name "Technica Projections" Do you guys have your tunes anywhere? Would love to listen to your stuff and ask you how you did this or that, i feel like I can learn so much from you fella's. Also feel free to tell me where you guys are, I'm in Florida USA. I also used to own Electrogroove Records, have owned a few radio stations but even though I have done so much there is lot of knowledge to be absorbed right here.

Yes, Auria can snap to the grid. Additionally, it can quantize midi notes to the grid (both start and duration) and even audio quantize (but for this one to work reliably you'll need a fast iPad). Auria is hardcoded to only add up to four markers - hope Rim improve this soon; unlimited markers are a must on any Desktop DAW.
I am mostly a jazz-rock guitarrist and bassist and, albeit iPad favours and facilitates the inclusion of electronic elements in our songs, so I incorporated them to mine as a plus, not a taint, it can and is used to make very rock'n'roll songs. Check the thread "Song Of The Month Club" to listen to some songs made solely or mostly with iOS.
I released my first album with 12 original songs in 2015. You can listen here: https://play.spotify.com/album/5eeVXOgrYJC2vT7sJS4G5g
or here: http://www.deezer.com/album/10643612
I have it available also on iTunes, Google Play etc, but I prefer to listen stuff on Spotify and Deezer, so I usually gave links to these streaming services.
@buzz98 - to get email notifications, go into your profile (click on your name) then "Edit Profile" and on the right (well it may depend on what your viewing the forum on/in) "Notifications". There's a long list of items to choose from.
Click the little star, top right, to subscribe to a thread. This is automatic if you start one.
So how to I get aria to snap to grid?
In the right superior corner, there is a dropdown menu called transport options: select Time Format: Bars:Beats. Then, in the little box with a hashtag symbol, select the division of the grid (1/4 beat, 1/8 beat etc). That's all!
P.S.: you can snap to the grid with other time formats, of course, using the same box with the hashtag symbol. I am considering you want to snap to bars and subdivisions of bars, which it's like most of us work with grid snapping.
I hope one day Rim can make the Audio Warp engine work like Ableton Live. IE: import an audio track(Audioshare for example) then Auria automatically time stretches the sample/riff to the BPM on the tempo of your project you are working on automatically?( apps like, Traktor DJ, or algoriddim dJay Pro can beat sync, so I'm hoping Rim could emulate Ableton with the Elastiqe warp engine v.3)
I listen to pretty much everything. But..........I mostly listen to Metal. Thrash is my favorite. Old new..... If it Djents, then I don't care for it much.
Can the OP please change the topic title to "Auria"?
I hear you brother, lol. The picky OCD mindset I'll get sometimes despises things like this.
I remember one time on an Android forum there was a thread about the 'Samdung Galaxy S6' that tortured me...
I guess it's probably auto-correct/complete at work but it reminds me of those situations when someone persists in calling you by a similar but wrong name
I was expecting a nice song Talking about Auria is also nice though
