Cubasis timing issues (ooooold story)

Usually i try to be a bit more patient but since this weekend was a complete mess i need to vent a bit, sorry.First all this bs with ispark and now i can finally not finish my new song in cubasis...because the damn timing issues are back and it's terrible. This is a really old story and i thought (hoped)it was fixed in the meantime. It's not.Timing issues....with audiofiles!!Thats ridiculous.

Fuck all that shit,i'm going to bed now.Buona notte.

  • DOh, thats sucks! I just recently went back to cubasis and was surprised to find the timing was really excellent for me now. What os/device are you on?

  • I'm glad I'm not the man at cubasis trying to answer that one!! Think you may need to add a bit more information when you've slept on it! ;-)

  • Have you tried Midi Sync Link? Cubasis has midi out only(me thinks?) Run that to Midi Sync Link, then link that to iSpark......... Hope that works for you?....... As Dell Boy would say, "He Who Dares Rodney!".....

  • I wait with bated breath when Cubasis, Auria Pro adds Link support. It can make things a little better.

  • The midi sync with Novation Circuit is perfect for me.

  • well,i don't know what exactly i did (restarting ipad, playing piano with cubasis settings, rage quitted and re-connected my interface while cubasis is running...)but at some point the problem disappeared again.I was working with cubasis the last two weeks and had no issues...oh,wait.I accidently pressed the undo button today and don't ask me what then happened...but i had no timing issues at least. The only difference today was that i used rebirth IAA to sample some kicks...and then i remembered that i used Rebirth a lot at the time where i had all the timing issues...BUT,the problems stay, even when quitting rebirth and restarting ipad etc....is that possible that it still can generate conflicts this way?I also did the"press off button and then home button to kill zombie apps".But i had still some timing issue after that...well,whatever.I could almost finish the track.NOW i can go to bed

  • Wait! The undo bug is still there?

    Hi Crabman,

We are not aware of any timing issues so far.
In your reply above you are referring that Rebirth might create the issue recently and in the past.

Please provide me with the steps to reproduce the issue.

    Thanks,
    Lars

As mentioned earlier, the UNDO bug will be addressed with the next maintenance update.
The issue itself is fixed already, release check phase of the update has started.

    Best,
    Lars

  • That's great news Lars, while I myself have had no issues with it, still it is good to see you guys on top of things as usual. Any other interesting things in the update?

  • Hi Tritonman,

The update mainly includes improvements and fixes for user reported problems.

    Best,
    Lars

  • Zoom fix please! It's by far the weirdest zoom in any app I use! :)

    Hi chimp_spanner,

We're aware that the zooming behaviour requires improvement and have the topic on our list long time.
There will be no change in the upcoming maintenance release, but our engineers will evaluate the topic to check if improvements are possible in time for 2.0.

    Best,
    Lars

mh you have it on your list long time but will only now begin to evaluate if it can be improved? that's a bit disappointing to be honest. hopefully the answer is yes.

Appreciate it Lars! Not hating on CB or anything, still love it. Just have to grit my teeth a bit when I zoom haha.

  • Zoom and undo were the two showstoppers that made me asking for a refund!

  • Updates are good and new versions are positively welcome, better start saving some pennies!

  • I would like to have a sub mixer section and drum pads that can have assignable midi channel output to enable having separate channel strips on the mixer from internal and external sources.

    Hi Crabman,

So far I didn't hear from you regarding the required steps and/or video that describes the issue.
Please make sure to get in touch with (please check my private message) so we're able to give the topic a repro.

    Thanks,
    Lars

  • Hi Lars, thanks for getting back and sorry for the delayI'll write you a mail later.I assume i can do it in german? That would be a tad easier :)

So far:the issue is definitely not new (to me) and i was not the only one complaining about this in your forum. But the last time i logged in there is more than a year ago.Possible it's burried down in old posts/topics.

  • Hi Crabman,

"ja", feel free to write me in german.

    Best,
    Lars
