Mapping a Midi Controller
Hey guys,
Friday i finally received my Novation Launchkey 61. A big upgrade from my Korg microkey 25 which i've been using for the last 5 months. Now this Launchkey comes with a good amount of knobs, sliders , trigger pads and 16 midi channels. I have absolutely no experience with mapping and most synths i use don't use the amount of control i have now to it's fullest.
It is a lot of fun setting them, but i was wandering if any of you have some tips & tricks. Or some general thumb rules regarding mapping.
Any info is very welcome.
Thanks in advance!

I don't know if there are any rules but I always try to use the same basic knobs/sliders the same across apps. So in synth apps my first 6 sliders are always:
So that I always reach for the same controls every time.
