The stacked sound sounds amazing!
Super cool man! Thanks!
I'm going to see how many I can stack with FX before I get glitches
It Would be great if we can create presets in AUM and load them without loading a new project.
Please elaborate
I do wish they had've re-used some of the artwork assets from their Rack Extension of Viking. I know looks aren't everything. But they are...something haha. Still, it sounds great!
It's also cool to load up Viking presets in multiple channels, with various tweaks, then use AUM's midi routing controls to let an arpeggiator song sequencer like Arpist drive all of them at once.
Ok so we have various instances of iSem but each with its own preset. I wish we could load up a preset saved in AUM that would bring up all the instances of iSem just like I have them but without having to load a project. This would rock as we could load up presets and use them as needed in a single project.
Hope it makes sense.
Like AudioBus state saving, but for AUs.
Yes I've thought this would be very useful too. It could be AU combos or FX chain setups and commonly used mix bus setups. Would be handy to save and recall channel combos with midi binding setups too
Thinking about how it might work...each channel could have a preset store/recall menu which saved all channel info, perhaps then you could also highlight a group of channels within your project, save these as a preset and then load a preset into a current project for example. I guess that's the simplest idea, a preset is a basic AUM project which you can merge with an open one
Think he means having the ability to append a preset to the current setup vs replacing the current setup. Or maybe I'm projecting. : )
I had been trying to ignore Viking because I really don't need more synth but effing-a that sounds good. Yet another app sale generated by tstr. Cheers Doug.
I think I understand: basically as if you'd enter each iSEM instance and choose another preset, but to be able to do it for all at once.
I do have some plans that would solve that, which I call "state snapshots" or similar. It would allow saving "sub-presets" in a project, that does not change the loaded channels and nodes but just the state of them, and allow fast switching by tapping a button or sending a MIDI pgm change, etc. Each such snapshot would remember the state of all nodes and channels (not IAA apps of course because Inter-App Audio by itself has no state saving).
AUs already have state saving, and AUM supports it. If you save an AUM project that uses AUs (iSEM, Viking, etc) they will remember all their parameters and state when you load that project.
Thanks! Can't wait to see all the great plans you have in store for AUM. This idea would be so cool and perhaps even refined by other ideas.
