Sessionband Acoustic
I purchased the piano and the acoustic edition.both are really great.I arranged an acoustic guitar track within the sessionband app,
then recorded it and copied it to the pasteboard.then imported it into AURIA.and because I wanted the song to be in 116 not in 120
Bpm,I timestretched the whole track - just perfect,as long as the timestretching stays within reasonable limits!I am a professional
studioguitarist (for more than 30 years now),but when I'm not in my studio,this app makes it really easy to add an acoustic guitar
with a" live" feeling to my iPad-Songs.I'm NOT related to sessionband!I just wanted to let all of you know that you are not restricted
to the default tempos - if you have an app with timestretching ability.

The sound are really good on these apps. I think if you're going to timestretch audio you really have to have the right program. Sessionband used to have Dirac in the original version ...and the new Jazz app (which is brilliant btw) has it ...but REAL TIME tempo shift is always gonna warble with real instruments like piano and guitar. Interestingly Dirac is used in Djay (another great app). I have noticed they have left it out of the two new Sessionband apps piano and acoustic....for this very reason I guess. Export it as you have done is the answer.
Wrong thread, sorry.
Acoustic and Piano Sessionband compliment each other with similar styles. Setup a progression in Acoustic and same progression in Piano recording via AB or copy into daw.
@mgmg4871
Thanks for that hint!The only "bad" thing about these apps is that you can only hear how
they sound with each other or with your song after you have copied the track,because
there's no way to prelisten them in sync.But still they definitely help to make my tracks
sound more alive without plugging in a microphone etc.And that really helps when i'm
on a train or somewhere "in the woods".
@schimanski You're welcome.
I'm thinking the best way to o his is to start a chord progression in Sessionband, record or copy into daw and finish it. The automation really helps bringing instruments in and out or from the mixer eliminating them completely. Automating the volumes are a plus also.
I've never heard of these apps before! Very interesting! Thanks for bringing them up! Oh, and Audiobus compatible too! I use a lot of exclamation marks!
.....that last sentence was more just to laugh at myself. ;-)
@mandrakonian Thanks. These apps can be used as a great learning tool.
I bought Acoustic and Piano. They sound good BUT there are quite a few glitches and unnatural sounding, abrupt changes in there too, judging by the demo tracks.
It's great that Audiobus is supported, as well as ACP, but I wish they'd included transport controls in their Audiobus tab so that play can be started, stopped and rewound from the output app's screen.
The standard SB app is older and does not support Audiobus. I suspect the bundle is not the newer sets of loops from the Jazz, Acoustic and Piano editions.
@PaulB I got a e,ail response from Dev this morning. He says he will be updating original Sessionband with all the new features and AB support soon.
Did anybody get the acoustic guitar edition work with Auria within AUDIOBUS?
Input Sessionband AGE ,Output Auria.It doesn't work on my iPad4.Haven't tried the piano
edition yet.
Neither Sessionband Acoustic nor Piano work with Auria. I don't think it's Sessionband's fault though (i.e. other Output apps are quite happy). To be frank, I can't get Auria to work reliably with anything via Audiobus. I love Auria but currently it's a totally frustrating experience with Audiobus. I really hope that will change soon.
I can't get it to work either. Checked the input matrix, and that doesn't appear to be the problem. It's set to Sessionband and AB. I haven't had many problems with Auria within AB up to this point, but this doesn't seem to work. I'm gonna check Session with a different DAW. So far, I've just tried Session Acoustic.
I got Session working with no problem into Beatmaker 2, and then got Alchemy working well into Auria, so it seems to be just between Auria and Session.
I just tried sessionband Jazz and it didn't work. Opened it with Cubasis worked perfect.
I have the same results.all sessionband apps don't work with Auria.I don't have any problems
with other apps and Auria,so it seems something special with this combination.
I have an inquiry about session band and audiobus if anyone can help out. I've been transferring an acoustic track from sessionband to garageband via audiobus on an ipad. The problem is that when I listen to the gargaeband version it seems that the bpm is out of sync. I'm not sure if this is a RAM problem on my ipad CPU or whether it is an automation problem. This has happened often that sessionband bpm and garageband bpm don't seem to line up at all. Appreciate the help!
