Quick Q: Why are certain gadgets silent now?
I’ve opened up a little sketch I did on Gadget a while ago on my iPad 2, and now I find that two of the gadgets are silent. They do stuff, they seem to be normal, but they’re silent.
I’ve made a quick video of it, so you can hear how silent it is. The “song” (just over a minute) runs through with only the affected gadget channels solo’d (Glasgow and Salzburg) and then I do the same thing all over again with everything running that can.
As with pretty much everything I ever made with Gadget, I open up older stuff and really wonder if this was mine or not. Of course it is, it wouldn’t be there otherwise, but there’s always doubt because it never sounds like I did it (gadget’s world and I just live in it).

Check your midi settings for each gadget. I've silenced some before by not changing midi setting back
I didn’t realise there were those midi buttons there, actually. I’ve just checked with advanced settings on and all are all set to all on all.
Don't know then. Curious.
Any chance that the notes are too low in pitch to be heard? Have you tried other presets within the gadgets?
I've actually had a few gadgets get "stuck". Might be due to the save being from an older version of gadget. The simple fix is to change the gadgets to something else and back using the function key. Then re-saving the project (preferably as a different file).
Hope that helps
Good point. They were heard-able when I made it. There’s no action whatsoever on the “VU meter” for the gadget in the mixer, of which you’d expect even if it were subsonic.
Ah, found the problem. I checked a few days ago when this first occurred to see if Module was installed properly, and it was (I thought, how could those modules show up otherwise). Well despite being installed, the Gadget Module gadget modules in Gadget had “un- bought” themselves. I updated that bit and all’s fine now. Thanks. I wouldn’t have found that if I hadn’t upon suggestion changed it to Marseilles and then had to change it back again and found I couldn’t until I “bought” it!
Glad I could help
