Sample playback app required

Something a bit like the TRG pads in Nanostudio that can do:
1) Plays nicely with IAA and AB
2) Assign samples to any pad
3) Loop the samples - but with a trigger on and off (via midi note)
4) can transpose the midi note the pad responds to.
5) lightweight in terms of iPad resources.
6) some in app processing would be useful to tweak the sounds, but not essential.

The back story is I would like to trigger sample loops from the Pads on the maudio axiom 32 keyboard when using AUM. I know I can use AUMs own file player, but it gets messy if there are a more than a couple of loops. So I thought about using Nanostudios TRG pads - except I can't tanspose them high enough to use the AUM keyboard split like I want, and (worse) NS is only a IAA generator not an Instrument so doesn't work well within AUM, Plus you can't loop the sounds like I want.

Thank you!

  • The latest version of Caustic should be out soon. Between the PCMSynth, the BeatBox (which has a pad mode) and the built-in wave editor you can do some cool things.

  • Can't understand the part of "transpose the midi note" . If you mean midi learn then BM2 can do it. It has auto loop mode where you hit the pad once and plays the loop forever ,but if you hit it again it stops. Keep in mind that the loop once triggered ,can't be stopped whatever you do until it loops one time.
There is another mode but it depends on your axiom 32 . BM2 has the "hold loop" mode ,so if axiom sends midi note on when pressed once and then note off when you press that pad again (toggle mode) , it should work

Maybe you can use nanostudio if you own it and mess with Midiflow app to make proper routings.
