Trigger cycle of samples with one pedal
Hi all,
I have a newbee question: i have five individual samples (pad chords) which i want to trigger by pressing on a same pedal, one by one. Which ipad app is capable of this? Means on a next pedal press next sample is triggered, and they repeat in the same order every time.
Thanks for your help!

It seems pure data with MobMuPlat app , is the best way but if the word pure data is unknown to you don't bother (but you will miss great chance to write your midi utilities).
Try contacting the dev of Midiflow @JohannesD
If you have Lemur, I created a Lemur template designed to handle chord sequences from a foot controller. Can be used with one or multiple midi sources, and has presets for live use.

I think you could also do this using presets in midibridge. Might also be ways to do using Midi Designer or TB Midi Stuff.
Great!! I don't have Lemur, but might be worth getting it then.
Will your template work with Blueboard pedal?
The initial software for the Blueboard supported only latching mode, though It looks like the latest software may allow it to work in momentary mode. Can anyone else verify?
My template is really designed to work with momentaries, rather than latching switches, because there are functions design to work based on foot up. For example, in normal mode a foot down triggers a chord, then a foot up releases (and sets up the sequence advance). In hold mode, each foot down triggers a held chord and sets up the advance - though I have set up a long press (configurable) with a foot up to release for any chord you decide to be the last. If your chords have preprogrammed lengths - or naturally stop on their own, the hold mode should work for a latching switch. You can also set up another switch to release all held chords, so there are ways to use latching.
Also keep in mind that Lemur + this template takes up it's own resources. Works fine for me on a 2GB Ipad mini 4 with a few efficient IOS synths running live on the same device. Pushed memory a bit on a 1GB Ipad mini 2 in the same situation.
What app(s)/synths are you looking to trigger? IOS or external?
i'm going to trigger ios sampler, don't know which one yet. It depends of any possible way to realize that task using ipad only. Can you recommend one? I'm thinking about Bismark BS-16.
I'm complete newbie on iOS but have experience with sound design on PC.
PS: i have iPad 4 mini with 128 GB. Hopefully enough resources? Loopy HD and Samplr will be running in background
Should be fine. The ipad4 has 2gb of RAM for running apps, which helps the most in this case.
Bismark is great. Loopy and Samplr are efficient on resource usage, as well.
With my template, you dont need to specifically use sampled chords, as I send out predefined chord sequences to any midi device. So, you could be better off with an efficient synth rather than using sampled chords.
My template has a lot of functionality, but you might read through all the information before you lay down full price for Lemur. I built it for my personal needs, though it could be overkill for some. I also still consider it in beta.
