One method for recording non Audiobus apps via Audiobus

I used a Behringer UCA202, but I would imagine that any usb interface with stereo inputs and outputs would work.

1) Hook up the interface via a CCK as normal.
2) Start Audiobus.
3) Start up Meteor in the output slot. (Other recording apps may work if they can do the following steps).
4) Pan the master output completely to the right.
5) Start and set up your non Audiobus app.
6) Plug the left output of the interface into the left input of the interface using a phono to phono lead.
7) Monitor using either the headphone output of the interface or the right phono output.
8) Set the recording track to mono audio and arm ready for recording.
9) Start recording and switch to the non Audiobus app.
10) Play like a dervish.

Repeat steps 8 to 10 on new tracks to record more parts.

Observations - I noticed that the metronome had a tendency to bleed into the recorded track, possibly due to not being affected by the master pan, so try not to need it. By the same token, it's probably a wise precaution to set the backing tracks as low as you can get away with, to minimise the potential of cross channel bleed, although I didn't notice any in my quick test of this method.
