The Art Of iOS Music

iOS Music Developers are truly artists. Inspired by their creativity, I set out to honor these developers by applying generative painting tools to post-produced screenshots of their art. This is an ongoing series, and I will be making these images available as canvas prints at some point.

  • Wow brother those are cool. I agree that iOS music production app makers are artists in their own right, total Renaissance Men & Women blending music with the latest technology and creating entirely new musical instruments for us to use.

Cheers to you on doing this man...

  • I like borderlands and xynthesizr

I'd buy the t-shirts; although, that could be a Pandora's Box of sorts. Nevertheless, great idea and very nice work.

  • Nice idea and cool art !

  • Very cool!

  • You've been kissed by the muse @johnfromberkeley (:

The different drummer one is one of your patches. You should sue me.

  • Those are beautiful images. I've always appreciated the visual aspect with certain music apps and this really shows them in another demension. Especially love the one for Borderlands.

  • @johnfromberkeley - Lol!! I feel immortalized

  • Stunning, beautiful, vibrant. Ultra cool. iFretless flicks my switch but all of them are memorable & must haves.

Immortalized? More like your 15 minutes. Lap it up!

Thanks, I love the textures on iFretless. You have to view it at original size.

Remember, because this is generative art, it's as surprising to me as it is to you.

That said, there is quite a bit of thought and preprocessing that goes into it. I have developed my own style and workflow to achieve specific results. It's not just pushing a button.

But I'm not coding an AI, more like interacting with an AI.

I do similar work with underwater photography.

You are a talented soul indeed & in developing your own, unique style proudly shown here, I hope should be enough for you to flourish. Sure there will be more than just a few interested folk around these parts. I'm one! Have you any plans to do an Audiobus one?

  • Are you doing these on iOS @johnfromberkeley ? If so, can you share what apps you use?

These are created exclusively on iOS. The only time non-iOS factors in is when I use PhotoZoom on the mac to increase resolution for printing on canvas at canvaspop.com. They look fantastic. Fantastic.

Apps in this series where just leonardo and Glaze. I'll post screenshots of my arsenal later.

    Here is some non-iOS stuff:

    My profile on FineArtAmerica.com

and some stuff I have to get on to FAA:

    Digital Paintings Of The Ocean

  • Beautiful work, John.
    Borderland and Xynthesizr are breathtaking.

  • Nice work on the other sites John!
