Patterning update
Dev says there's an update coming soon which will allow multiple iaa ports so that each drum can take a different channel in AUM or a daw.
This great because now I'll be able to record drums and mix them separately within multitrackstudio.

Awesome news!
Has the sample storage management improved in this one yet? Can you import/create user folders of samples? Such a workflow killer to import one shots one at a time from Dropbox or Audioshare, and then have them unorganized together in general population.
I think if you label a sample with the word kick in its title it will go into the kick folder, same for snare or other types which have existing folders. I agree it would be nice to have sub folders for user samples though
Separate outs for each sample will be a nice addition.
Sample audition is the big one missing. The way it is now if I import 500MB of drums it is murder to make kits or adjustments with that menu flow. I end up experimenting on another drum app and when I find I kit I dig then I'll move the files to Patterning
Hope they do that small fux, it would make me use the app more than I already do.
The problem is I often want to name a sample Keith or Bacon Fat and I'd really like to be able to make them their own folders to live in...
"Imogen Hassall (to cat): 'Shoo, Cooking Fat, shoo!'…
Terry Scott:'They can't call him that, surely?'
Imogen Hassall: 'Well, that's what it sounds like.' "
@benkamen
+1 for sub folders one day
Patterning has by far become my most used app, excited to see what this update holds.
Multi audio out or stem record out should be higher up the agenda for all beat making apps
more than anything else I hope for different kits per pattern.
every 5 minutes I check for an patterning update, it's just what I do...
Hmmm. I'm suggesting at this point that you are not in possession of children units, correct?
They make good update checker units
Come on Johnny, Koba wasn't born yesterday... He's got the kids on their iPhones watching the foreign market App Stores & checking iOS music blogs for update news.
At least that's what mine are doing...
I often want to call a sample "Kevin Bacon Fat".
Kevin Bacon Fat? Dude is footloose. How can he be so skinny when lives so phat?
all my kids have momentary toggle switches
I need to organize my samples to use them effectively.
I would like to build songs that evolve with more than eight sounds to work with, so pattern linking would be great.
I need to preview samples.
That is about it. I am a huge fan, but these changes make the app the core of my music.
But do they follow?
Is anyone here beta testing the new patterning beta? I have an Issue with Auria i'd like someone else to test. Please PM me....
I am and I might buy Auria tonight. What's the issue?
@sleepless create 8 audio channels and route individual patterning outputs to each channel.
In patterning enable IAA sync.
Press play in Auria. This starts Patterning and you can record audio in Sync. WOW!
Problem is that it stops working after about 30 seconds.
I'm not sure if its a Patterning or Auria issue.
@Dchild If I get Auria, I'll test that. Tried the same set up in Cubasis without a hitch.
most of the time, of course they are all named after synths and beatmachines
question for you guys beta testing, is it possible to load up a different kit for each pattern?
You can play them off the Open page at a push if you need to do it or play one set of patterns and change the kit on the fly. I've had fun doing this
yes but what about my question?
the answer appears to be no
Don't know any beta testers for this one
they're right up above your head a couple of few post.
I had my tongue out
