Drone FX is free

edited April 2016 in General App Discussion

Never heard of it(I don't think). Pretty intriguing name though. Nice icon. UI looks cool enough. Loaded it up and it sounds good.
BUT no background audio? At least?
How do I drone and do other stuff then?

Well anyway, like I said, the thing is free man so why not check it out.

Also, I don't know what I'm doing.

  • Dang, says it requires ios 5.0.1 or later. I'm out of luck then. ;)

I saw it was free, hasn't been updated for awhile.

  • No outs that I can figure...

  • I think this is abandon ware. I chatted with the developer a long time ago about upgrading with Audiobus and he explained that it was developed on a unique platform and it would have to be totally redone to add this feature. I got the impression that it isn't going to happen but a guy can dream can't he? It actually generates some pretty nice drones of a cinematic quality.

Ok, this does make some very nice cinematic droning soundtrack stuff. And it looks like it's completely abandoned.

I've got some decent results running out of the headphone jack & recording to the line-in via a little Sony pcm-m10's fairly quiet preamp. But surely there's a better way to get decent sound recorded from these junkyard apps that are very capable of producing sweet sound.

  • A fine app from the pre-AB era. Lovely results are possible but alas it sees little use due to its lack of connectivity.
