Is Nave better than??
Just curious, is Nave really that much better than imini, Magellan, addictive?

I wouldn't compare it sonically to any of those synths so 'better' wouldn't make much sense.
It really is a pretty marvelous piece of work but if you've been buying ios synths like those, you have to ask yourself: Do I really need another synth app? At least that's where I'm at - I have all the synth I need for a lifetime and I LOVE synths. I wasn't going to buy it but lucked out on Discchord!
They all use different synthesis techniques, well Addictive is additive/wavetable (correct me if I'm wrong). So it's hard to compare it all like that I think. There's been bit of a mass psychosis regarding this long hyped synth, which tends to make people write things that doesn't necessarily make sense. Great synth for sure, and I'm having lots of fun with it. But it does not make all other iOS synths obsolete, far from it.
Thats basically what i was asking myself do i need this? Looks like I missed the introductory price, so that kind of makes the decision for me. I love all the synths but I haven't really used them too much so..... Thanks for the input though.
I think...if you like to make new sounds....like a designer make a new graphic, you must buy this synth.
Personally, I like all kind of synth, I buy synth since 1993 and I own Korg MS-20, Korg SQ-10, Roland TB-303, Oberheim SEM (the original of '75), Juno 106...plus all the iOS synths in the App Store and say you this:
This is The Best synth ever made, hardware & software....
it's a dream that becomes real ;-)
Nave is very versatile and very accessible, much easier to get into than the other ios wavetable synths. But it doesn't replace all other synths. I would say that Nave, iMini and Addictive would be a good trio, each bringing something a bit different to the party sonically.
