Is iOS 9.31 safe for Focusrite Scarlett audio interfaces?
There were many reports of problems with this interface and iOS v9.x. Now that 9.3 has been out for a few weeks, is it safe to upgrade from v8.x? I have a Scarlett 2i4.

Yes I use it on mine everyday and my iPad mini 4, iPad 4th gen work fine.
Read that wrong sorry I use focusrite iTrack dock. My 2i2 never really did anything new for me so I just keep that on my Mac.
I'm using a 2i2, and it works perfectly. Actually, I've never had any issues with it.
The latency bug with USB interfaces is still present in 9.3, however there is an easy workaround: after you connect your interface to the iPad if you plug and then unplug some headphones into the iPad's headphone socket the latency is reset back to normal.
I'm running a Scarlett 2i4 with an Air 2 on 9.3 and with the workaround above it all works OK.
I have a Scarlett 18i8 and nervously updated from 8.4.1 to 9.3 so I could use the new Lightning-USB3 adapter. Thankfully, it is working fine so far (have tried BIAS & FX, Tonestack, AUM). As Richardyot mentioned, if you get a latency problem, try plugging & unplugging some headphones; first time I connected the iPad ( a while after updating), I had almost 1 second latency with the guitar apps, but I had a number of background apps running - I shut them all down, locked iPad & unlocked again and it was ok. Next time I'll try the headphone trick! I also can confirm the 18i8 works through the new Apple adapter with the iPad charging at the same time... nice!
Well, I used my iPad Air 2 & Scarlett 18i8 again this evening and had latency (more like a half-second delay effect) so I immediately plugged in a 1/8 jack into the headphone socket & removed it, the problem promptly went away. Strange, but useful to know!
