ModStep as a Stand Alone Sampling Groovebox Discussion, Your Opinions?
good friday folks, I've been very interested in ModStep from the beginning but my interest in it is as a stand alone groove box, and I would love to hear your opinions on it as such or your experiences if you're using it this way.

Similarly, I"m interested in Modstep as a clip launcher a la Ableton Live (especially follow actions, scene features, etc). Anyone using it like this?
I have done yes, with a Launchpad mini, worked flawlessly.
does the sample editor have zoom?
and can the sequencer do quintuplets?
I am using Modstep almost exclusively as a sample set loader for a Roland Handsonic and my Beatstep Pro. I can build kits easily and I drag them over to load them instantly. I have not delved further than loading 3000 samples, sorting them, and making kits. For this, Modstep is worth the price alone. None of the other apps are this customizable AND remember my goddamn MIDI settings so I don't have to re-map every single time.
i'm using it for samples too. imports via audioshare, automation on paramters, grouping stuff on the x/y pads, i'm a happy camper. Love this app.
