Quick brain dead question (Auria)...Dispensed with etc.
If I have a stereo track (I do), but want to convert it to a mono one (I do), how so? Not that which is recorded on it already, but the track itself. Any simple answers for a simple mind?

Post-fullmoon answer: you do want to spare yourself the re-routing?
Hmmm. I think that would be wise as I wasn't aware I was supposed to do any of this 'routing' of which you speak Truth be told I moved the track, copied the fabfilter effects, fiddled about, messed it up and moved on. BUT I would still like to know if it's possible
Why not try to load a snapshot @JohnnyGoodyear ?
Or conjure up @richardyot, who suggested to 'copy/paste the audio on a new mono track' a while ago, or doing a mixdown to mono, or remove the effects, if undo is not available, or enter the matrix ...
@JohnnyGoodyear
Pan left for left side mono, pan right for right side mono, then on track 2 input, change it to master (not mic) for recording, or just plain listening on one of the mono side for track1.
Your second choice is to mix it down to mono, in this way, 2 mono channel (L and R) mix to a mono audio channel.
As Bill Clinton says.... It all depends.....
Yes. Of course. You are both right. I am so rubbish at thinking of mixing down things to other things. As for you Captain K, you continue to surprise me. I wouldn't have bet on you quoting Mister Clinton at me, but then as Sigmund so rightly said, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar...
