Animoog and IAA control panel?

Does anybody know if Annimoog will be getting the IAA control panel? This is a pretty major app, and I'm surprised it wasn't there from the start.

  • No - I don't think it diminishes Animoog. But, yes, I would like to see it there

    Yes, it diminishes AM,

IAA panel very helpful for midi out onboard keyboard. But sometimes less is more, because there are not many excellent IAA panels for other synths for recording purpose. It must be compatible to many versions of iOS, of which people are using. It might cause more trouble for compliance.

Better not implementing it. I don't like Animoog causing trouble by hanging, because I always playing it with its full loaded IAP presets.

  • I think one of the reasons for the lack of iaa-panel in Animoog is the fact that it makes no sense until the midi-out iap is purchased because there is no way to send out midi from Animoog without it...

  • I agree IAA apps are better with the IAA transport control. But Animoog is a top synth even without it.

Maybe @GeertBevin could look into it. It would be mostly appreciated.

  • It's one of the things we're considering for future updates, yes. No promises though.

That's good enough. Top app with or without it. For me IAA transport bar mainly makes it easier jumping back and forth between Animoog and the IAA host.

  • I never noticed, but previously did not use IAA much. now that I'm using AUM (with IAA hosting) yes it would be helpful

  • I don't care what it is, but I like the option of switching between apps without double click on home button. IAA is great for that.
But yeah the IAA panel with MMC control would be great in Animoog.
I try to buy apps with IAA exclusively...if I have the choice.

  • @Samu - don't think so. IAA does not implement MIDI Out from a client, only MIDI In to the client, which Animoog supports in basic form (also shows up as an Instrument in AUM IAA list). Animoog does already support the Audiobus panel, can't see why it would be that much harder to support the IAA panel.
