Wow cool!
Thanks!
Excellent, been meaning to get the pipes and the penny whistle, will do so now...
As regards free updates for life: Yours or mine?
Are they all IAA/AB compatible?
Penny whistle (just bought for my 99 cents ) works fine and sounds like the childhood I never had.
absoluely lovely apps! can someone tell me how to play these bagpipes... seriously
In case of emergency, inflate the airbag!
On Airbus!
Just bought ConcertinaXL since it looked interesting, is universal, the dev's site implies core midi throughout his collection, and others reported audiobus support for his other apps. Sadly, the one I selected CocertinaXL does NOT support Audiobus, IAA or midi at all. Not even any way to record it.
Was going to grab several, but thinking now I won't after all.
Well, that's my wasted dollar for the day.
@skiphunt - These are the Midi controller ones : http://appcordions.com/midi/ for the AB/IAA ones, I find using the AB APPS page useful https://audiob.us/apps/ , as sometimes it's difficult to search/read through the entire discription in the iTunes store.
ConcertinaXL is not AudioBus or IAA compatible yet. None of my iPhone apps are either. Every app that is says so specifically in its description on the iTunes App Store or on my website. I've only in the past few months been converting my more popular apps to add AudioBus and IAA. Englitina, which is a much easier app for most people to play has the same sounds as ConcertinaXL (since it doesn't require you to deal with bellows push/pull) and has both AudioBus and IAA support. The MIDI apps are just CoreMIDI controllers, they model real instrument user interfaces but do not make any sound on their own, they are for controlling the synths you already have using something besides a keyboard-style interaction model.
Request a refund from Apple... Or I'll PayPal it to you.
No, the ones that are say so in the app descriptions specifically. Don't assume they do unless I've said so in the description.
Only wasted a dollar. Not worth the trouble and not a big deal, but thanks for the offer.
Besides, if I really wanted to use it, I could just play it into Logic via the new audio midi setup.
Who knows... maybe you'll update it to support AB/IAA and/or midi out eventually.
Eventually I will add AudioBus to ConcertinaXL, it is just such a niche app that I figured nobody really cared. If you like that concertina sound, the exact same samples are in the Concertina instrument I donated to ThumbJam.
MIDIAngloXL is the MIDI-out equivalent
I'm surprised. It looks nice and has a fairly intuitive layout. I played with it earlier, then confirmed it could be played straight into Logic.
I only got it because of the sale & that it was universal. Was hoping it at least had AB/IAA though. But, ultimately it was a cheap impulse buy that prevented me from buying something pricier impulsively, so you could say it saved me a couple bucks.
And, I don't have ThumbJam yet. That dev was saying a fresh and significant update was "imminent" weeks ago, so I was waiting to buy after the update dropped. Been awhile now though, and wondering if the update hit some unforeseen snags.
Bought the Midi Pipes app by mistake, trying to purchase the Midi Hammer dulcimer app. hopefully I can find something to do with it. at $.99' it's not really worth the bother to refund.
Most of my apps that have AudioBus integration are listed at: https://audiob.us/apps/page/4-5
Here's the list of AudioBus enabled apps (iPad only):
D550 Hammered Dulcimer
UilleannKeys - Irish Bagpipes
Hohner Piano Accordion Pro
Hohner Chromatic Accordion Pro
Hohner Melodeon Pro
Hohner SqueezeBox Pro
Englitina - English Concertina
Irish Flute Pro (Landscape)
World of Bagpipes Pro
Trapezoid - Hammered Dulcimer
Irish Flute Pro
Tin Whistle Pro Uilleann - Irish Bagpipes Half Set
Uilleann - Irish Bagpipes Half Set
Uilleann - Irish Bagpipes Full Set
Cheers and thanks,
Michael
FYI, the ePipesKeys HD Ultimate app description in the app store still mentions "Bagpipes Royale" which I guess is now called World of Bagpipes Pro.
sorry, but they all crash when opened in audiobus. is there a solution?
new installation of audiobus and restarting the ipad solved the problem.
but not for long. the problem persists.
Force quit the app and try again.
Which iPad/iOS version?
Just tested a few apps on my iPad Air 1 on 8.4 as well as iPad Pro running the latest iOS and no issues on both. Can you contact me directly via email: [email protected] rather than use this thread for tech support. I'm not getting a flurry of bug reports from other users.
The one I bought works fine.. just no AB
And, my wife and friends keep saying "What is that?! Stop that please!!!" lol
Which one did you get?
It's not your app... it's my playing skill ConcertinaXL
I actually like the app, it's simple and I like the fingering positions with the vintage graphic. Only wish it was AB/IAA but I ain't gonna complain for a $1
Excellent. Englitina is very similar, same sounds, and much easier to play. I'm actually resurrecting the original "Concertina" iPhone app today, should be out in a few days: http://www.tradlessons.com/Concertina.html First update in 5 years. But it also doesn't have AB/IAA. Just trying to make it work on iOS 8/9 and iPhone 5/6.
