Piano roll and midi edition should be simpler... It's a joy to edit notes with Gadget, Auxy, Medly or Modstep. It's a bit rigid with IL . If i Want to use a midi controller ,What should i insert first ? The synth or the midi controller ? And we need some keyboard with scales (i dont find them).IT s a good idea to put some chords pads but there are a lot of improprements to do for the next update. Can we import midi files ?
@SecretBaseDesign Had fun thanks to you twice today:
A ) Pissing my 13 year old with Z Snap when I picked him up from school. He was defenseless, no phone, I was The Master and for a few minutes our irritating roles were reversed Thank you.
B ) Playing the new Moog 15 thing in IL. Worked beautifully (hat tip to @Littlewoodg for the notion). BUT I was really really wanting to be able to copy and paste between panels. I know, I know, eventually....
Thanks again.
@JohnnyGoodyear -- a) glad you got a kick out of Z Snap. The world's stupidest app, but I thought it was pretty funny (and fun to do).
B ) yeah, I was a beta tester for the Model 15 -- lots of fun playing with that. And yes, copy and paste will happen shortly.
And in a semi-related note.... I had made NTBYF free for a few days. Yesterday, there were 29,000 downloads. Seriously, WTF? It's just a little keyboard app, with some SoundFonts. At $1, or $3, there's essentially zero downloads. But at free, people can't get enough. I do not understand the app store!
My friend, what you do not understand is the word free
Still, 29K! Hopefully at least some of them like your style sufficiently to transfer over to IL...and it's got to be great PR if you can figure out a way to leverage it...
Have to say I bought NTBYF (no regrets), and thought it was different enough to be interesting but never immersed myself in it. Kind of like a cool person you meet in a restaurant and exchange numbers with (still there, somewhere in the back of your wallet), but never actually call...the commercial side of me (seeing that 29,000) can't help but be thinking about how you might monetize or at least profit (strategically) from the data etc....smarter heads than mine have already been down this road, I know...
