iPhone video with amplitube audio
hello
i would like to record a video with my iphone while I am playing guitar.
i will use loopy for recording drums and bass and then amplitude for playing guitar
how do i have to route those things in audiobus? i don't want to have the audio in the video coming from the iphone mic, but i wanna route the audio in the video with audiobus
thanks

What exactly do you want ro video-record: yourself playing guitar and/or another device you are playing on and /or your iphone-screen? Possibilities depend on what you wish to do... . Please elaborate further, cheers, t
hello
i would like to record my self playing but i don't want the mic of the iphone to record the audio. i want to record the audio signal coming into the iphone through an interface (rig pro) directly via audiobus.
Well, as soon as you plug in your iRig, Amplitube should take the Signal from there automatically (when in AB, you might have to select the iRig as input, have Amplitube as effect or output). Your App for videorecording must either be able to keep recording while in the background (when having AB/Amplitube in the front), or you set up your Amplitube-chain first, start rec there, switch to your videorecording-App in the foreground and press rec. ... Hope this helps, cheers, t
Oh, and if the videorecording-App isn't AB compatible, you will as well have to enable the iRig-input in there, as well, or record video and audio into seperate files (even when at the same time), and stitch audio and video together in an App like iMovie etc..
It all depends on the Apps you intend to use.
ok I have half problem solved
the audio comes automatically from the interface and is esclude the mic.
BUT... i have in the input section of audio's the loopy hd and amplitude, and output section the iphone output.
when i record a video, the audio in the video is only the amplitude audio, not the loopy
do you know why please?
thanks
Is Loopy actaually also routed to an output in AB? As I understand, you have two lanes in AB, one with Amplitude, one with Loopy as an input. If this is the case, you must also choose an output for each lane seperately (sometimes this is not done automatically by AB...). If your setup is different, please explain more precise how you have it setup, or post a screenshot of your AB panel. Cheers, t
the fact is that in the video there is only the dry signal of the guitar. nothing else
The way this is set up, you have both Apps running back into Loopy (output). Do you really want to send both Apps back into it, not to your videorec-App? Do you record the Audio thus into Loopy then? And: where/how do you record the videotone? Seperately or can you grab the AB -audio somehow with your video-App? If you just try to record both Apps into Loopy, it should work this way (IF your guitar input is taken through the iRig (you should assure sureself, this is happening, cause otherwise just the dry gutar gets recorded (independent from your AB -chain)). You might as well select just the iRig as input, put Amplitube in as effect, select Loopy as output, for recording. That's just the Audio, though. I don't know of any videorecording App, that can grab the output of an AB chain... .
i tried as you said, rig input--- amplitude fx-------loopy output
but in the video there is the dry signal only, no loops, no guitar with fx
With what App do you record the video?
the app that you find in the iphone
i don't know whats wrong.... i tried everything
As long as you don't give a complete picture of what you are trying to do, nobody can help you. You give give me little pieces the whole time, without explaining EXACTLY what you are trying. There's lots and lots of camera Apps available on the iphone, and I still don't know HOW you try to record your audio into the video-. AB chain is a different story from your videorecording, isn't it?
the app i am using is "FOTOCAMERA" in the upper right corner
this is the audiobus chain
this is the interface iRig Pro for guitar
my aim is to record a video with the audio not from the iphone mic, but from audiobus
i have seen a video of a person that was doing this
The short story is that Apple's camera app does not have specific implementation of the Audiobus audio stream. So it sounds like iOS Camera app will capture the standard audio inputs only [which is the dry guitar coming in from your iRig audio interface]
There really is no way to record Audiobus/Loopy/ Amplitube directly with a video as far as I know... [There would have to be an app that both goes in Audiobus output and captures video. I don't think any such app exists]
The solution is to record the audio session inside Loopy HD while also recording your video. Then afterward you can copy the Loopy HD session into your video as a separate audio track. iMovie will let you do this.
[FYI, this is a copy of my response on the Loopy forum]
ok i would try this thank you to both, animal and hmtx
and the routing what should be in audiobus?
yeah, your routing looks fine (from your screenshot). Just record the session as you play it in Loopy HD. This will give you a perfect audio track to copy into iMovie later.
how can i record my session in loopy
sorry but i m not very practice
As soon as you touch an empty circle in loopy it will start recording (whatever you have set up as input) into this circle.
To stop the recording, you have to touch that same circle again.
yep i know that. but i cannot copy it in imovie
