[solved!] Joining the iPad musician group on FB - is there a trick?
I've tried a few times, and I think I have messenger turned on appropriately but each time it looks like my pending request is either timed out or denied, since it just goes back to being a closed group. If anyone is in the group leadership and can PM me, I can provide my FB info to check into it. Looking for some of the Shoom threads to follow.

You just need to answer the question: What is your favorite ios synth? I believe it is still that way. Then Linda lets you in. hmmmm......
This is why I feel that I am doing something incorrect. I never get the message back from the group asking me any questions and I stay in pending status forever. I have enabled messaging, but the block must be on my end somewhere... I just don't know what I need to enable to let the messages through!
edit: found the messages inside the Messenger app under "Filtered", and yes they were from Linda. This must have been really annoying... apparently I've requested access 3 times already and she responded 3 times... so when they say "turn on messaging" in the FAQ they really mean that but also 'check the filtered/spam folder'.
The joining messages going to filtered issue has been raised on the FB admins group a number of times. You are not the only one, nor is iPM the only group that has had the problem. Thankful you got it solved. See you soon in the group

Linda got that response from a spammer a while back, which resulted in a running joke, and I put an app together with that name. Linda did the icon and splash screen for it. The whole thing was entirely too silly.
That's great! I never knew where the name of the synth came from, nor that Linda designed the icon and splash for it. It is a great synth with a lot of great sounds.
Ha! That's funny that The name developed that way. The only thing I miss from Facebook is that group. I think Linda lives about 10 mins away from me, although I could be wrong. I haven't met her though as far as I know.
