Modstep access ability contacting the developers please help.
Hi all, I'm trey from the UK as some of you know I'm totally blind.
I downloaded the modstep sequencer To my iPad and found that it was completely inaccessible with the voice-over screen reader Built into iOS. I have attempted to contact the modstep developers via email and Twitter To inform them of this fact and to ask them if they could make modstep accessible to blind users, However I haven't heard anything from them what recommendations and advice can any of you give me regarding this situation? Is there anybody on here who works with them Maybe in a beta testing capacity Who would be able to help me Contact them?
Your help with this situation Would be most welcome, kind regards trey.

@soundwarrior20 Hi Trey, I've followed your quest for more accessible music tech for your music making on various forums and have the utmost admiration for your efforts .
The developers do participate on this forum , as @cblomert & @Nerk_ , hopefully By just having written their call signs they will answer on this thread in the next day or two , or you could PM them .
Good luck , I hope you can find ways for the ipad to work for you .

Hi guys thanks for your help :-) @wally thanks for the compliment. I think I'll wait a few days and if they haven't responded After a few days I'll pm them. Someone really needs to open up a dialogue with them about this modstep is the kind of thing a lot of blind iOS musicians i've desperate for.
That's a bummer to hear. Seem like a solid crew so hopefully they'll at least get back in touch with you about it.
@soundwarrior20: I'm going to send one of the Modstep developers an email and inform him about this thread. However, making a very complex app such as Modstep accessible for vision impaired users can be a massive endeavour. We're already struggling with that sometimes with Audiobus and its user interface is so much simpler.
@soundwarrior20 Hi trey, sorry for not getting back to you earlier, it has been quite busy over here, but i should have answered you earlier. As @Sebastian stated, it is quite complex to get an app like modstep to be accessible for blind people and we unfortunately haven't thought about it before starting modstep. I can't promise you anything but that we will look into how hard it would be, but if we can support it, it will most likely be not very soon. Until then please consider a refund since you already bought the app. I know this probably is not what you wanted to hear, but unfortunately i cannot give you another answer.

Hi @nerk_ thanks for your reply, it was very helpful. The main thing is that you're aware of the problem and are considering it, Would you be able to write a few blog posts Talking about your experience of trying to make modstep Accessible talking about the challenges you face And why why not as the case maybe modstep May or may not be able to be made accessible, this would raise awareness of the area within the music technology community and give potential end users and understanding of the challenges faced by developers when it comes to making a piece of software accessible. @ Sebastian I know I speak for both myself and many others when I say I'm incredibly grateful for audio buses work on the access abilit front, again would you or one of your team Be able to maybe write a blog detailing your experiences of making a Audiobus accessible? Thanks for your help with this guys Kind regards trey
@Sebastian ^ ... interested in Trey's idea - (btw. voiceover to me seems very cumbersome to handle, if anyone nonvisually impaired wants to try ...)
