A Modstep Glitch?

edited May 2016 in General App Discussion

Whenever I import a MIDI file its length is more often than not, wrong. I have set the default length of patterns to 16 (and files are 16 bars long), and, at first sight, the imported length is correct, but when I turn on for a second time the piano roll, it shows only 3-4 bars imported (and this also is unpredictable). Anyone happen to have had the same experience?
I gloss over the MIDI control of other apps (e.g. Gadget). Some channels works as expected, but other , e.g.. ch5, are quite unpredictable, at least in my experience.
This does not happen when using ,e.g., Cubasis controlling Gadget (same files, similar settings).
I'm not writing this to put down Modstep, that is an app I love and find exceptional otherwise, only to report a problem and looking for a solution.
