Moog Model 15 v1.0.2 released
Hey everyone,
We released minor update v1.0.2 for the Moog Model 15 App with the following improvements:
• Better support for bluetooth headphones and speakers.
• Improved arpeggiator step light activation for very short gate lengths.
• Improved arpeggiator synchronization with Ableton Link.
• Improved arpeggiator pitch behavior in poly mode.
• Fixed arpeggiator pitch offsets conflicting with per-note pitchbends coming in through MPE.
• Minor stability improvements.
• Small manual fixes.

Thanks @MoogMusicInc ! I love the app and get lost in it for hours. Once the bugs are all squashed I'm hoping for some IAP of "hotrod mods" or extra/new modules.

Been spending almost too much time with Model 15 but as usual I run into some issues that I hope can be corrected in future updates. I know it's not easy to cover everything during the development & beta phases.
Here's a few of those issues:
Freezing tracks in Cubasis containing Model 15 (IAA-Instrument) produces silent output?
The Cubasis Mini-Sampler doesn't get any sound/signal from Model 15 as the only available inputs for the Cubasis Mini-Sampler are the the two Audio-Bridge outputs (IAA-Generators) but no Main-Output?
I will do some further investigation to the app-settings (midi-ports etc.) to see if that can help with track-freezing.
I suspect the Cubasis Mini-Sampler only accepts IAA-Generators as sampler-source so an additional 'Main Output' IAA-Generator in Model 15 would probable solve this.
Naturally there is a work-around to all this by creating separate audio and midi-tracks in Cubasis and using AudioBus to route the audio but I honestly prefer to use as few apps as possible thus IAA is my preferred method to handle inter-app connections.
Hope @MoogMusicInc & @LFS can sort this out and make the combination of Model 15 and Cubasis even better.
I'm running Cubasis 1.9.9 and Model 15 1.0.2 on iPad Air2, iOS9.3.1.
I guess It would be good to know if other apps have issues regarding recording the output of Model 15?
I've seen that at least iMPC Pro is mentioned in another thread where the output of Model 15 produces no signal when connected thru IAA for sampling.
+1 for "hotrod mods" @MrNezumi These could include additional Envelopes, LFOs, Modulation/Motion Sequencers, S & H modules, Additional Oscillator modules, LP/HP/BP switch to the filter, Ratcheting for the sequencer, Option to add/remove as many modules as the CPU can handle.

(arpeggiator 1/32 is still cut off at the bottom of my mini2 in landscape mode. minor thing)
would like to be able to release a held key by re-tapping it. not sure if i am missing the potential disadvantages/problems this addition would create.
Understand though that I am patient and appreciate all the work going in.

Yeah, iMPC Pro gets no Model 15 signal even if hosted in AUM and both being used as IAA inside iMPCPro. Weird thing is that Animoog works perfectly.

We've been working together with Steinberg to track down why the Cubasis freeze and mixdown functionality isn't working with Model 15 app and have made some changes that now enable these Cubasis features. Incidentally they also make iMPC Pro sampling work properly with Model 15. We'll be sending a new version to the beta testing team soon and if everything goes well this will in included in the next Model 15 update. We can't commit to an ETA yet but thought it would be good for you to know that we've not forgotten about this.

Does freezing and mixdown work with Auria?
I'll be looking forward to the update where Model 15 track-freeze in Cubasis works as expected
Considering that there is a fair number of apps that struggle with 'track-freeze' it must be quite tricky to implement...
But in Auria, is it working?

i have problems recording model 15 in auria pro.
using m15 as a midi instrument works fine until i want to freeze the region. i get either silence or a buzz.
attempting via using audiobus, i am sending notes from an auria midi track and recording the audiobus output of m15 on an audio track.
i can record arm the audio track and hear the notes play back just fine, but when i hit record the notes are no longer received by m15. the audiobus output is recorded fine, just no notes get played.
Well, I was about to buy it. If it doesn't get along with Auria Pro, I think I'll wait a little more. Thanks for the info, @wellingtonCres!
@wellingtonCres Have you tried opening Model 15 as an insert on an Auria audio track and sending notes to it from an Auria MIDI track? That way you don't require AB at all. I will try this myself asap.
thanks just tried that and it is the same as with audiobus. for some reason the midi track notes are not getting to m15 during recording... bummer
Yeah, I just tried it and you're right....it doesn't work. I have a beta for the next update waiting, I'll test that.
I'm glad I lifted the freeze issues as it appears I was not alone
Hope the new beta fixes it (nope I'm not a beta-tester for Model 15).
I've had a few issues with it freezing up , only when using it to receive MIDI data from other apps though . It also crashed last night when I used it for an Egoist bassline - though maybe that app caused the problem
Thanks for bringing the bounce-to-track and mixdown problems up with Auria Pro. We just tested the latest Model 15 beta that has the Cubasis improvements and confirm these features now work in Auria Pro.
