iConnectivity mio - bricked after firmware update?

Anyone have an iConnectivity mio? I connected it to my iPad and noticed it wasn't receiving sysex from two of my synths that I tried. I read online that a firmware update would help, so I downloaded iConfig from their website, and sure enough I was on 1.0.6 and it prompted me to install 1.0.7.

After the firmware update, iOS sees it, but it won't even send or receive note on messages, let alone sysex. UGH.

Is it bricked?

  • Send a note to the iC support folks is my only suggestion @gburks I have one but have not updated it.

  • Again, bricking is only iPhones. :)

  • Ok... Well very similar to iPhone bricking. Midway through firmware update it said connection interupted. Now it is recognized but it cannot send or receive any midi messages. Maybe more of a paperweight than a brick? ;)

Support seems to be working through it with me. I'll report back if this gets resolved.
