I believe that community and 'cross pollination' of art is an important part of professional development as an artist, so I like to schedule recommendations on my facebook page for creators of related art as well as manufacturers/developers for products/software that I use or admire.
It's not the best promotion in the world, but at least it's free and will give us a temporary feeling of self contentment.
