Looking for a design app for background and header design for websites.
Could have worded that better but i want an app to create good quality graphics for my website and social media, something like icolorama with the different editing options but for graphics and photos, or just graphics is fine but it's not photo editing i'm after.

The Adobe suite is a pretty comprehensive one.
Adobe Fireworks CS6 is very good for webgraphics and more.
I liked it a lot but it was discontinued 4 years ago
The word app is included in the title and OP mentions icolorama so i'm going to guess that he is looking for an IOS app
There are a lot of apps for creating graphics but for me the stand out is aptly named Graphic, formerly known as iDraw before it was purchased by Autodesk. It's pretty much the full OSX version ported to IOS so you get a full vector drawing program

^Yeppers, IOS. I'll check it out, thanks. I was curious about the Adobe IOS apps as well but icolorama is my favourite photo editing app so something with a similar workflow and functions would be great.
You can actually use Over for this. I did a few ads for my gf's bar in it. Was just playing around but they wound up using them. It's not so much a full on design app but comes with a nice default set of fonts and icons.
I use photoshop but that's $10 a month. Photoshop Elements will probably have everything you need. Don't laugh but there's an excellent website called PIcMonkey that has extremely advanced photoshop features. I use it all the time for social media graphics because it's faster. It's free unless you want to pay a small fee for additional features.
+1 for Graphic. I also use grafio.
