Groove Machine 2.0
Still patiently waiting here
I mean when I got the app I don't know how long ago, it was asking me do I want FL3 when it happens....yada yada
Who knows already.
I enjoy FL - I just end up not using it. I don't know why.
Maybe I should give it more time.
I think the interface psychologically makes me not like the app that much. Which is totally stupid, mind you.
Forget what's there now (the app it's based off of is actually better, with more options/instruments), version 3 is a different animal. we just have to wait, ad wait, and wait.
Absolutely, FLM3 is a completely new beast by the image-line team and not a skinned and tweaked app by someone else.
Very cool.
You know someone I guess?
Pretty good intel.
Is it an update or new buy?
I am starting to think that all of the "DAW" ish apps (BM Nano & FL) are gonna hit in the fall after back to school and prior to holidays to have it ready to buy and running smooth for Xmas/Hanukkah season.
God, am i referencing Christmas and Hanukkah already? Fuck me.
No, I have just read in depth any comms they have put out about it.
Update I believe, as is image-line's general philosophy, you pay for something once and own it for life.
LMAOOOO - Better get writing my xmas list then
When that updates comes out, they might have a new customer. Music Studio was the first DAW I bought and FL Studio never appealed to me because it looked just like Music Studio. This one looks completely different.
As far as I've understood, the splash-screens when installing FL2.x mention that the update to FL3 will indeed be free.
Looking at the video the UI looks smooth but doesn't feel 'solid' but rather flimsy...
Anyways since I have FL2.x installed on my iPad I will most likely update the moment it becomes available
Thanks for the heads-up
I like the video but, most important to me, the answer to the first question:
Question: "looking forward to the update! Can we assume it will still play on slightly older ipads (which play FLS Mobile 2 just fine?)"
Answer: "Yes".
But don't start holding it for a long time
I'm not as excited about it as I used to be. I don't see any implementation for IAA apps. It is looking more and more like an all-in-one solution like Caustic or Gadget, rather than a DAW that hosts apps. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.....
That's because it was Music Studio, just re-skinned and with the step sequencer added. This time around it's a complete rewrite.
It will definitely be free to FL Mobile 2 owners - seen that posted in no uncertain terms many times.
It's probably not a good sign that none of the devs (apparently) check in here to take the pulse of the more fanatical side of iOS music-ing. Or maybe they're lurking, researching, like anthropologists. But more likely not.
You never know who is listening...
