Beatmaker update to correct iPhone 6s touch problems on its way, good news!! :-)
Comments
It is?
Does that mean BM3 is no where near?
Sounds like this is just a maintanance fix for problems on newer I devices.
You tell me then.
You have my fate in your hand.
Should I buy BM2 FINALLY or wait for BM3? Speak now.
I feel so vulnerable.
I would wait in your position! Bm2 is good but BM3 hopefully will be so much better. I bought Cubasis as a stop gap between that and nanostudio2 , but no doubt will be buying them both! :-)
I hope this is true. I really loved using BM2 on my phone during my commute. It was the quickest and easiest way for me to get a tune running in my head down onto a midi format.
I have only opened it a few times since I got a 6s and quickly closed it again from frustration. It's been dead to me.
The app is in review!
I'm hoping BM3 will be out soon.
BM2 is 'Ok' and honestly one of the best sampling-workstations for iOS but it takes time to get used to...
For now I'm doing all my sampling with Cubasis
BM2 lacks
IAA FX, Link, Audioshare . Maybe no support for iOS 10 unless Intua postpones BM3 more.
Great marketing btw, they don't evolve "old" app claiming they target on new one and no one complains!
I agree with @Samu about it being "OK". I never used it much instead using Gadget and Cubasis.
If cubasis was on the iPhone perhaps I'd have no need to use anything else!
+1
who's beta testing bm3?
Bm3 waited to long, they may be able to to offer an alternate to Cubasis eventually but don't think they are going to be able to compete on same level as Auria Pro unless they have some revolutionary user friendly UI
Which of course would be wildly ironic
Auria pro doesn't work on the iPhone though.
Because its so BIG and USER FRIENDLY on the IPAD...................LOL
It's probably the closest thing to a pro sampling workstation on the iPad, it has a lot of deep config and there's not much it doesn't do. For me the biggest thing on my wish list is iaa fx, but the stock fx are ok if a little limited, you can side chain and route to buses to create parallel fx.
This is mostly what I'm waiting for. If they add Link that kind of seals the deal.
I'm intrigued. Can you chop to pads? Does it have timestretch? I've grudgingly gone into iMPC Pro, which is really pretty slick, but its ability to name/store/file my audio is kind of baffling.
Yeah you can chop to pads and timestrtch the sample in pitch to the track bpm
We're talking about Cubasis? BM2 does this well, but it's a really clunky interface otherwise.
Could you elaborate on the impc folder issue?
It's just kind of a confused hive of folders and subfolders. I'm sure it will make sense with some time. But i was chopping a sample (which was a joy, honestly) and then when they were assigned to pads, there seemed to be no obvious way to save my work. I guess I had created a new kit? But I could find no way to rename the pads. And then at one point I went to the wrong screen and everything kind of vanished.
Plus I have no idea how iMPC will play with Cubasis or ModStep.
Update has landed and I don't have wifi for a few days! Get it loaded someone to see if the problems on the iPhone 6s have gone!
Well, I could check it but don't have an iPhone 6s and no plans to update my phone unless Apple drops iPhone 5 support with iOS10...
Considering that accessories like iRig Mic HD already use the lightning port Apple would be total jerks if they dropped the headphone jack on iPhone 7, in that case I'll go for 6S Plus...
Losing the headphone jack to me makes no sense! Haven't read anything from independent sources that would support their reasoning for it yet?
Just tried it out on my 6s, and my issues have been resolved! The track record and mute buttons work perfectly. Are there any other issues you had that you would like me to test?
Brilliant!!
Thanks for that! :-)
Looking forward to playing on this new phone now! :-)
