Multitrackstudio (Bremmers audio design) pulled from the appstore?!?!
There hasn't been an update lately and now I noticed the app isn't available in the appstore anymore? It is not visible in my list of purchases either. I just asked about this in the MTS forum. Lets hope everything is ok with the dev and this isn't the end of this fabulous app.

It calls the whole idea of cloud storage into doubt when that happens. Fortunately I haven't deleted it recently, but it is one of those apps that comes and goes off my iPad as I like its features but still struggle with its UI.
I agree, and it seems to be fairly new that apps completely disappear, even to those who purchased them.
That would shatter my iOS world as I've been using it exclusively. There seems to be no way to back the app up now on iOS9 either. Disturbing to say the least.
Reassuring news from the man himself:
"Dang. My developer account was up for renewal last sunday. There were all kinds of problems with the (money) transaction, and after some conversation with Apple I was told it would all happen automatically on sunday. Nothing bad seemed to have happened on Monday, so I assumed it was OK indeed.
No worries, it will come back!
Giel Bremmers"

Phew. Thanks for the update.
Yesterday I had to upgrade my iPad. Did a full backup of the old one, a full restore on the new one. While restoring, got a generic "Could not restore everything - try again later" message, which I almost always get when restoring due to wi-fi instability, etc. Left the restore process going for some time and it apparently finished ok. Only at night I noticed that MTS, along with all my projects, were gone.
It's really disturbing to learn that, the moment a dev cancels their annual account, I'm totally out of luck and lose forever my app any moment I need to restore or upgrade. Not happy at all.
Yeah, especially when the example we get of that comes from arguably one of the most responsive and dedicated app developers in iOS music. There are apps that haven't been updated in 4 years and are allowed to exist in perpetuity on the App Store, yet they yank an app (temporarily) over what amounts to a filing deadline?
Should be pointed out that it's not like this some freemium game, either - this is a $30 purchase ($50 after IAP's for many people), so Apple really shouldn't be so brash in their willingness to pull it from customers with no warning.
Multitrackstudio is the balls. The effects, compression, and built in mastering are phenomenal. I just used it today to record patterning into 8 different drum tracks at the same time. I'll be able to mix and master each track individually in post! I finally feel I could make a studio quality album using mts, patterning, and a few other apps.
Sync your iDevice with a computer, this will backup the app files, you can add an app back from those if you delete it from your device and then want it back but it's not in the app store. Provided the app doesn't need any IAPs to function as desired, as those will be SOL.
Are you saying iOS9 doesn't backup apps to the computer when syncing with iTunes?
That's what I heard. You can back up apps by downloading them to itunes one at a time though. But if the app is no longer in the app store that would not be possible.
