Auria Pro users, what if...
... We start flooding the major sample libraries developers with requests for them to port their kontakt libraries to EXS so we can use them on our Lyra sample player? Not long ago, they used to sell the libraries both in Kontakt and EXS format but, since EXS was Logic-only until Auria Pro, they decided to stick with Kontakt and a larger target user base. We might as well make a difference and reverse the tendency.
See Analogue Drums (https://www.analoguedrums.com/products.php) for example: they offer pro-grade drum libraries at very reasonable prices ($20 to $30 mostly) and used to make EXS versions of their drums. Unfortunately the newest ones, which are the best and coolest btw, are Kontakt only. If we are vocal enough to show them they can make a profit with iOS, perhaps they will listen.
Oh, and buy their EXS drums: they are far better than anything on iOS, Drum Perfect included.
Comments
P.S.: they used to offer a free drum in EXS: Big Mono!
Or we can all lobby Rim to include the use of Kontakt, if possible.
What if Lyra supported Kontakt?
I don't know if NI released any documentation of the NKI format so Rim could add support. EXS is a real possibility, so as an experience we could lobby Analogue Drums to add EXS to their newer drums or, even better, to make them available in the Auria Store. Another possible sample library maker we all could lobby, since it already does EXS, is Imperfect Samples.
If Lyra exposed an AU interface I'd be in on the lobbying effort. I prefer to spend that kind of energy on an instrument that can be used in Cubasis, GB as well as Auria Pro
You know, these efforts are not mutually exclusive.
True dat
I'll surely send a mail/feature request to AD later today!
Wow.. Great idea...
Analogue Drums even have a forum! https://www.analoguedrums.com/talk/viewforum.php?f=7&sid=781880c83f93f7b79563a4d0fa1dc25f
Has anyone ever got an answer?
... I have to learn to stop quoting myself by mistake when what I want is to edit a post. But it would really come in handy to be able to delete a post.
Ha! I do that all the time too!
Lol!
