Quick Audiobus & Studiomux question
Is the multi-route IAP required to use AB in Studiomux? Currently, I can only have AB sending everything to SM's defaulted channel 8. AUM automatically sends to ascending SM ports, so - unless I'm doing something wrong with AB - my assumption is that the multi IAP is necessary...
Comments
it is not.
start ab first, then studiomux
at the bottom of studiomux track is a audiobus/iaa toggle thingie
you get ch 8 as ab by default but you could have all be ab if you like
Ah....I was loading them up in the wrong order so the ports were not available.
Thanks!
Hmm...I spoke to soon. It seems that whatever port I select as AB's output is the only one that Studiomux will receive to. As you can see from the pics below, in this example Elastic Drums and Patterning end up on port one. No matter how I start up the two apps, it either only sends to port 8 or only to the one I select in AB. So....I'm confused and more than a little stuck.....
i was confused, or studiomux has changed, but infact it seems you do need multiroute to do what you want, sorry!
Yeah. I think they changed something in the move from Audiomux to Studiomux, at least. Never mind, I'll stick to AUM anyway as Audiobus is playing up a bit at the moment for me.
