Which apps translate well to iPhone (5/SE)?
I've been surprised how well some apps work on the iPhone, i thought the screen would be too small for anything meaningful but in some ways i prefer it.
I've got to rebuy a few apps like Traktor DJ etc but i'm interested in AUM to load and use apps together so was wondering if (a) that works well on the 4" screen and (b) which apps translate well to the smaller screen. Some don't like midisequencer so yeah wondering which apps are well optimized for smaller screens.
Cheers!

Triqtraq, iKaossilator, BlocsWave, Figure, Auxy, Impaktor, Easybeats3, Elastiv Drums, Modrum, Bassline, Yellofier, Loopy, Tweakybeat, Multitrack Daw, Looptical...I like Gestrument as well.
Just posted a couple of threads about production/workflow on the iPhone actually.
I'd say:
Xynthersizer for sequencing
Animoog and Gadget for synths
IElectribe or Elastic Drums
DrumJam and ThumbJam obviously
And any number of effects apps (although I'm personally loving the amazing noises ones like Dedalus and Limiter)
Auxy, iDS-10, iMaschine and Gadget (just about, it's a little fiddly in places).
Suprisingly, I enjoy the Moog Model 15 on iPhone 5s more than iPad
Yeah, that surprised me too. I won't go as far as to say better, but definitely usable and fun even on iPhone 5s..
Mostly the same list here but I haven't really taken to Gadget or iElectribe on the iPhone.
Some others are mostly from the 'started on the phone' school:
Werkbench is iPad only, but iPhone version would be great.
Thanks! I'll reply tomorrow but some great suggestions here; stuff i would never have considered like Werkbench!
@fjcblanco is there much overlap between blocswave and triqtraq and similar apps?
I like BlocsWave a lot and you have up to 8 "tracks", but with TriqTraq I'm feeling like I'm building something from the scratch, despite it's only 4 tracks, but you have some nice effects included, automation and it's great for jamming.
I'd buy both of them and, in fact, I did it. It's like the couple Patterning vs Sector. Different apps, same fun.
Yep. Blocs Wave + iPhone = !
Thought it was. I'll have to check some videos but Blocs looks like it would work well as part of a hardware setup? Can you not build tracks within it or do sample into it from other apps?
