Mic + iTabla to Bluetooth speaker

Hi!

I'm not recording. What I want to do is amplify my voice via mic connected iPhone while iTabla is playing and beam the sound to a Bluetooth speaker (for guided meditation classes).

Is this a thing? Will it work using audiobus, and if so, which microphone app?

I have the iPhone and Bluetooth speaker. I don't want to buy any additional gear other than a wired mic, because what I'm looking for is a lightweight, inexpensive solution.

Also, any recs for wired over ear mic? I mostly see lavalier in my searches.

Thanks!!!

  • Hi

Unfortunately I'm afraid you may not be happy counting on the Bluetooth connection. There is a certain amount of delay (called latency) that exists in that format, which would result in your amplified voice being "late" or "after" your actual words. Probably pretty distracting to you and your students especially in a meditation setting.

I'd recommend looking into a a basic interface, maybe an IK, to connect your mic and speaker with wire. I think you and your students will have a better experience.

Mic-wise; you didn't mention what part of the world you are in, but here in the U.S. Sweet water music has plenty of headset mics.

    Best of luck!
