Soundprism Branding Issues

Can someone untangle what the differences are between the various Soundprism products?
Soundprism is free?
Soundprism Link is .99¢ and has Link...
Soundprism Pro? is $5.99? And ... doesn't have Link?
And Soundprism Electro ($3.99)...I don't know. It's blue?

    They have different presets.
All of the Soundprisms are great.

  • Can't there be one Soundprism to rule them all?

    +1

SP Link has, what? Like Arp presets? So you can link it up

SP Pro has a lot of presets, I think there is an IAP to get some of them, I don't remember it's been so long. It differs from SP Electro, with the presets, and there are quite a few little inner face differences, like the way, or what you can do with the playing surface.

They all are my favorite midi controllers for my synths, with ThumbJam.

  • +1 for one SoundPrism a updated Pro version with all features.

I have to say that it's such a mess there's also (or it used to be) electro mini for iPhone supposedly to give a better experience on the smaller screen but then the developer decided to make Soundprism electro a universal app making the mini version useless.

If you want link get the link version. If you want electro sounds get the electro version. If you don't want to pay get Soundprism free, if you want more classic sounds get Soundprism pro don't get electro mini at all since now it's basically useless, I think the pro version has the most midi option but all the others work alright as well as controllers.
honestly just one version with all the features would be better instead of several minor version of Soundprism. There are four now but I think more versions are coming (I remember the dev was planning to make different genres)

  • It is not as messy if you understand the differences and the motivation for having different versions.

SoundPrism Pro is the original, with the original chord playing system and flexible midi out. Still the best in my opinion.

SoundPrism is the same as SoundPrism Pro but without midi out.

SoundPrism Electro is a different variant of the chord playing system specifically for electronic music, with fewer midi options.

SoundPrism Link is the same as Electro in terms of chord playing and midi, but different (better) sounds some of which have wobbles that link.

So: if you get SoundPrism Pro and SoundPrism Link, you'll have the full SoundPrism range of experience.

  • oh, and the choice to make them different apps is a good one imo.

they have different playing options, and instead of turning them on and off in some preferences, they are simply different apps -- much more intuitive
