Korg plugKEY
Korg have just announced the plugKEY - mobile MIDI + audio interface.
Comments
Any idea of when it will be available and how much it will retail for?
And soon we'll propably see plugKEY+ with midi-output and audio-input together with Gadget+
Looks good. Any idea when it will be available?
Hate when they put out stuff like this with only 5-pin MIDI, most controllers coming out only have USB connections.
I don't quite know what this is for since most MIDI controllers have USB connections nowadays? Maybe it's for a certain niche... Was secretly hoping that it was something like iRig Pro in a smaller form factor
But those controller can already be connected via the Camera Connection Kit. This is fulfilling a different need.
But this is an audio interface too. Would be nice to have both with my Korg controllers that have no 5-pin connections.
Like, if this accepted usb MIDI, i could use my expression pedal thru iRig keys with my guitar. But as of now I have to unplug my USB hub from my desktop and run everything into the ipad and that takes like three minutes! three minutes! and involves lots of cords!
No Audio In or Midi Out - Hmmmm, probably because none of the korg apps accept audio in, and gadget doesn't do MIDI out
Ah you're right, I thought those were inputs but they're stereo-outs. I'll take a pass.
Definitely good for minimal setups but there's Zoom u series that brings so much more most probably for the same dosh.
the short lightning lead kills it, not couch comfy
€109/£85 – Availability: from late August.
@john2353
Out in August.
I noticed when I quoted your message initially there were links in the quote to something else? Not sure if that's intentional or not, but I've never noticed that before. It seems to contain a link to a stereo store? Doesn't happen when quoting other posts in the thread. If I'm wrong I apologize in advance but if you're here to spam please don't.
